Yeah... I saw that one Rick. Nice eh?! Really kewl, ... um, except for the flushmount sigs.... don't like those flushmounts. If someone chooses to restore those areas (tail and upper) with stock signals, they'll have to fix the nice little holes these darn flushmounts usually come with during installation. I have seen where adhesive was used instead of drilling holes... so who knows?!

All in all ... beautiful bike, and with only 27,000km on her. Damn. Mine has 32k ... beat me by 5k.

The american bikes had the rear reflectors so no need to make holes. Actually, i think a lot of guys decided to go with the flushmounts in order to conceal the holes. The rear blinkers on this bike are placed about where the rear reflector would go so im betting this is the case.

These style of flushmounts are easily the most popular out there, but still are generally frowned upon by the avg oiler enthusiest/traditionalist. You guys then will absolutely hate the ones i installed which I will post up soon! :lmao

EDIT: Sorry just realized this is a canadian bike.

Agreed. I'm sure that Hoot will be on the phone with the seller. That's just way too close for him not to notice. Anyone in the GTA who has even considered one of these ... should be all over it.

Whoever buys it (if you're in Toronto, or outside of the GTA)... we'll have to hook up for a ride. I'd love to see this one up close.

With all considerations to the mid-80's, and the idea of modifications... if we're talking exhausts, 17" wheels, doing some top-end work... all fine. The flushmounts just appear to be more "after-thought" than aftermarket. They just don't fit IMHO. Sure, the square stockers are big... but you know, I'd rather have someone see me actually performing a turn ... then to go with zero visability. Form and function... and flushmounts really don't fit the bill for me.

I apologize in advance... but I couldn't let it go. I managed to look over this '86 1100 once again on kijiji.ca, and noticed there were several additional "things" that didn't appear correct (really don't know why I hadn't spotted these before).

#1 - The solo seat cowl... um, someone re-painted/decaled the colour scheme wrong. Notice the decals are on the side. You shouldn't see the decals on the side, because they were on the top.

#2 - Missing NEAS decals. Where did they go?? (I know... that's pretty anal of me right?)... which leads me to #3.

#3 - Lowers. There is a stripe between the blue and red sections of the lowers. This was never there on the stock scheme... so why now?

Yes, it's a really nice bike... and there are few things that make you say "hmmm"... and "why?". Overall, for a little less than asking price ... this 1st gen is a real piece of history, and should make the new owner (whoever that may be) very happy.

Cheers.
