So heres the situation:

I own a 2006 GSXR1K, I love my bike and got a really good deal on my bike. I bought my bike for 4500$, with only 900 miles on it (clean title, dropped once. bought from a friend that lost his job). It currently has 3500 miles on it.

I have recently done the following work to it:
M4 Slip on exhaust, Shorty levers, all black fairings and gas tank painted.

Now another guy I know has offered me a trade. His completely stock, show room clean 2008 Hayabusa with 2000 miles on it. For 3500$ plus my bike. I am torn and not sure what to do. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention lately I've been feeling too big on my 1k, I am 6'3 240. Thats one of the reasons I'm really considering this moving to the bigger bike.

Thanks

Actually, the Busa is much easier to work on than the 1K.

If you're a capable rider with some decent experience under your belt, nothing wrong with trading up on the Busa.

You are, however, talking about sinking $8,000+ into a Busa, not to mention any time you put into the Gixxer. Have him take $1,000 off the deal and then go for it.

Either bike is fine..the busa will be more comfortable as far as distance goes but dont go thinking a 1000 is to big for you...Ive seen people pass me with the same body build as you and there on 600's.

did you rattle can over your factory fairings :facepalm

In Dallas that screams stolen...just sayin :cheers

Does it really look like a rattle can job? I hope not. It's not a rattle can job, but they are aftermarket fairings, that didnt line up perfect. But with a few mods I got them on their tight.

Thanks for all the opinions!
