07 1000 Pics Before And After

As you guys can see the bike isnt completely done,But i figured its close enough to post some before and after pics.

It still needs a couple things like speedo,exhaust(after market,have stock)rear brake pedal (Mines bent bad as you can see in the pics!)and a couple other small things.... I have a front fender on the way,

I bought the bike at myrtle cycle for 5 grand with 1000 miles on it.Howver it needed a lot of work.All new plastics.complete subframe,swingarm,front wheel upper and lower triple trees,head pipe(mine was dented) left clip on amongst other things i know im forgetting.But i think i mentioned the major things.Well anyhow.....here is some before:cheers

Yeah,that was definitely in my list of things to do.....I know everything looks good and bolted up perfect and well as rided nice and straight and looked the frame over and over again the best an eye could see.But to be on the safe side that was one of the plans to get it checked.

Lol,Thats how i bought the fairings also they have the silver or grey 1000 decals and and logo.Which i am getting use to but when i get a chance i do plan on taking the gndc decals off. I was just more concerned with getting the major things done on it first.

If both the subframe and swingarm were both cracked in the crash you definately should have run it up to GMD Computrack (I think they are in Boston) before you reassembled everything and had them verify that the main frame was not compromised. Not something that can be eyeballed. They do precise measurements.

Yeah,I was kind of thinking that but kept getting told everything is good from my uncle who has owned a bikeshop (does frames and fabricating as well)for 26 years after he took it in to look at.Would still like to take it to gmd as well.I was thinking there was one in NYC?

I believe the one that is called "New York" is actually located in CT, so that one is actually closer.
