Can anyone recommend a good race rail?

I've been reading about powers stunt worx and they look pretty nice. I've also heard from a buddy of mine, that the race rails from power stunt worx take quite a while for the orders to arrive.

Race rails, can anyone recommend some! Thanks all

If you're stunting in a parking lot by all means, but I wouldn't trust them against the pavement at any kind of speed...
Very true! I think they look good on some bikes but wouldnt use them for race applications. But i know someone that has a set and they are good quality. He is prone to going down so when he testes them we shall find out:lol

How'd they get the name 'race' rails anyways?... I've never seen ANY type of racer use them:dunno

OP.... if you're worried about actually protecting your bike I'd go with a good quality CUT-style frame slider instead.... motovation, woodcraft, puig, vortex....

The bike is so clean and I'm just scared to drop it and cut up the fairings. Can you guys link me to something worth my time? I've used a cage on my last bike, however I've never dropped it.

I don't really stunt the bike, not my style. A occasional wheelie but that's about it.

Also I've heard "frame sliders" only protect your frame. So what can I get to keep my plastics from getting tore up, without going to a full blown cage. :dunno

We never said not to use race railz. We just said that if you are gunna do any type of racing we wouldnt recomend them....personally if you are just worried about dropping it then I would say race railz would give the most protection. If you want a "trick" look and just cruise then I would use the railz.

To the frame slider question...YES the idea and pupose is to protect the frame....although they do "usually" give "some" protection to the plastics.

If your worried about dropping cause the side stand isnt out all the way or making a u-turn and falling over or somthing like that....then buy the race railz Good luck:cheers

race rails wil transfer more energy into your frame possibly totaling it if you wreck. that is why we dont recommend them. frame sliders are just that they protect the frame, saving the plastics is just a bonus. but all crashes are different. i was looking at a set of race railz when i first got my bike but chose sliders instead. post up some pics if you do get them.

and andrew i have never seen cut sliders for the 05/05 600s

Thanks guys, apprecaite the replies. I'll look into some frame sliders then, can anyone recommend one? I know AndrewM posted a few however I don't know which ones are better/worth purchasing.

the race railz from powers are great. They do take a while, but are well worth the wait!!!
Get a sub-cage to go with it.

railz are metal and transfer energy. Whatever you attach them to gets the brunt of the impact. I would never recommend them to anyone except a stuner who does slow speed stunts. For daily driving or spirited driving they are not a bright idea. There is a reason helmets are made of material that dents, deforms, etc. That absorbs energy. Railz and cages are steel which doesn't absorb anything very well. It transfers energy. Sliders are better for more crashes and most people when you think about the physics and practicality of it all.

we'll get it out right away, but like I said I would recommend sliders instead. If you want to changet let me know asap. would save you money and be a much better product in my honest opinion.

I ordered frame sliders from you guys. Is that what you recommended?

04-05 GSXR 600/750 Shogun Frame Sliders-No Cut

After reading about the race rails I decided against them and went with the Shoguns. :cheers
