Ok guys...i been browsen the sponser's sites and been search'n on here...i seen alot joe rocket,Alpinestar,shift,AGV 2 piece suits....i seen some cheap fieldsheer for like 299. on closeout...what do u guys think about that company?....i kno if i want a good suit i'm goin 2 pay the $$..But I'm looking to spend about 400....Any 1 kno a good site with sum good prices or a diffrent name brand that people dont talk about much??

i honestly dont think you're going to be happy with the quality of the fieldsheer 2pc but if you've never owned something in the $600+ price range you may not notice the difference.
i see a lot of people that think they want a suit for $300 and find a suit like the fieldsheer. once they ride in it a bit they end up wanting something like the quality of A* or other suits. i'd just hate to see you have to buy two suits once you realize the 2pc isnt enough suit for you

Don't know what you ordered, but Fieldsheer leather is THICK and the stitching is good quality. I've never been down in one, so I can't comment, but it certainly feels pretty substantial.

Jason-Would you be able to tell me how the Gericke Celtic suits are compared to the Teknic Violator suits? I'm considering both on STG..but people seem to be really liking the Gerickes.

the violator and celtic are on just about the same level. you'll find that the violator is cut for a skinnier person and the celtic has a little more room in the hips, even more than A* suits. both are extremely crashable and priced similar. my vote would be the celtic or an xcelerator.

i have a good customer of mine comes in at 5'6" and 135lbs. the 38 celtic was perfect, just an inch or so too long. i think with your 1-2 extra inches you should be perfect in a 38. for the violator/xcelerator they fit one size tight so the 40 should be perfect for you. they are awesome suits for skinny/small guys. i personally wear the xcelerator 46 at 6' 185lbs and its so awesome. to wrap up my customer's story, i got him into a 36 A* SP-1. they tend to fit one size big and the 36 ended up working great, but definitely tight. i like the xcelerator more than the vio, but i'm a little biased

violators/xcelerators are back in stock and the new cut is a little closer to the correct size. still a little tight, but we dont go up a size any more.
the celtic was an 08 thing and we're not doing hein gericke again this year

not to confuse people, that is teknic's OLD sizing. the 09 suits would be 44, as would A*/hein gericke/most
My old suit (07) Teknic was a 44 and was tight as hell. I now have an A* in a size 42 and fits me much much better. The Teknic was very short in the torso section. Short torso section=major camel toe.:lol

as jason said that is the old sizing. My old tecnic was almost TOO tight, at 5'10" 185ish stockyish build, and a 46. But now that would not be the case

Good to know, I would have probably read the sizing charts if I were to order a new one.
I loled at that, mine is a perfect height fit(camel toed) but chest is just slightly loose, but then again with a strap on style back protector and possibly chest protector I'm ordering soon, It'll probably be perfect.

we always feel its best to call when ordering a suit. with these messed up teknic sizes out there it can get very confusing. luckily A* suits are correct sizing (its not uncommon for A* to mess up sizing)
