My 17 year old took my beautiful k3 out and wrecked it!!!!!!!!!!!

He survived with a few scrapes, got very lucky. I forced him to look at lots of nasty photos on the net of 30-40 mile accidents. Lot's of peeled skin and grafts.

The key was NOT left out, he got into my locked office at home and took the key.

I'm 39 and when I was a kid my father would have pulled his over and under Browning out and blown my brains on the wall for a stunt like this.

I was amazingly calm. Like I said, we just sold his car and he's going to have to work off the rest.

It was like Cameron, Ferris Beuhler and the 1961 Ferrari California GT Spyder incident.

I was a BAD BAD kid...... very bad.

But even as bad as I was, I would have NEVER dreamed of stealing my dads car, or bike :eek.

I threatened to call DFACS on him ONCE. He handed me the phone, and told me to call an ambulance first. Because if he was going to jail for beating my ass.......... he was going to DESERVE to go to jail :lol

Glad to hear he's ok, hope he learned his lesson and appreciates not being dead, by the bike or you...

Yea you did handle it well. My mom has held me on the wall by my throat before, but she was raised real strict and I definetly learned my lessons, many of them the hard way. At 17, you can't really do much except beat him with the belt, but then again at 17, it wouldn't make much of a difference, all in all, by selling the car and taking away his freedom especially by the cell phone, that's probably the best thing to do these days. Now you just have to stick to it ... the problem I'm having my wife do with my little ones now haha.

Talk about bad, One time I locked my mom inside our apartment, took the car, and called her to tell her where I hid the key so she could get out. All for some party 3 hours away.

Did not say you left it out but he knew were to find it. Sorry to hear about the bike and the punishment was the best thing to have done..he has to feel pretty bad at this point for making this mistake and thank god it did not turn out really bad for him.

Very much glad to hear your son is physically fine. Sucks about your bike, sorry to hear it.

If I did that with my dad's bike, I think my dad would have been sorry I didn't get hurt since the pain would have been the best teacher.

well sucks your son wrecked you bike and was ballsy enough to go into your locked office(read people). You handled it alot better than most parents now adays. Kids have gotten worse and worse as parents grew less strict and more leniant. I was lucky i grew up with a strict father who granted made me hate him sometimes but i knew he was looking out for my best interest.

Taking cell phone, xbox, internet are like telling a kid they are going to die tomorrow.
But atleast your making him pay for it instead of babying him and saying its okay ill fix it but im just glad your okay. rich people make me sick

When I was real young my dad smacked me in a grocery store and told him she was going to call child services on him. He told her he would dial the number for her and she walked off :lol
