First set of shots is from California Speedway 10/20/08. These were all taken by my brother so he gave me a CD with his test shots, maybe by christmas I'll get the ones without his test label over my pretty face(ok bike).
This was my first time back at the speedway since my crash there Turkey weekend of 07...amazingly it was a broken foot from basketball that kept me away from the track the first half of '08. I had gotten a set of Dunlop 209GPs from a trackday organizer friend of mine and my bike was not set up for the 190/55 rear, as discussed in other posts a few time, so my turn in's were a bitch for this mostly fast circuit. My best time here was a 1:44:5 a session before I had crashed that 07 weekend. The best I could get this weekend was a 1:46 but there was a crazy headwind on the banking so easily lost 15mph there. On the infield I knew I was faster than before, Next time I will see a 1:40 if there is no wind!!!
First shot is Turn 9 that I've barely come to terms with the late turn in required to get the perfect drive. 2nd shot under that is coming into turn 12 off the back straight...you can see a piece of plastic laying on the ground from my friends R6, it ended being a good turning marker. 3rd shot on top right is 13...12/13 make up an extended chicane I guess. The shot below that is going into 14, out of 12/13 chicane, and I was getting fed up that my buddy(R6 minus the random plastic) was not hitting the proper line so I decided to show him in that shot and the last shot. My brother thought I was showboating but I had no clue where he was when he was shooting the whole time. Feel free to check out my brother's site for some other stuff he's photographed, many more shots from track, a stunt show, and Glamis.
