Motorcyclists Deaths’ Rise by More Than 6 Percent

Experts say the trend is most likely to continue, as high gasoline prices will encourage the use of motorcycles.

It's pretty simple to fake statistics.

For example I'll fake some numbers.

In 2005, there were 1000 motorcycle fatalities. In 2008, there were 10000. That's a 1000% increase.

But if I give you some relative numbers.
In 2005, there were 5000 motorcycles registered. In 2008, there were 1000000 motorcycles registered. That's a death rate of 20% in 2005, but a death rate of 1% in 2008. They're numbers are missing some support.
