I bought everything from Ebay and the brand of the LED lights are (type 194) GP Thunder (part # 194-5F) The xenon 5800K "HID like" bulbs are brand Brightly Yours and they are called XD5...65w super white and made w/quartz glass. I will take pics of what everything looks like tonight after the UFC fights and post them up later or tomorrow. Glad to see everyone is going w/the DDM kits from Apexcone/sharphid.com!!
are these the 5-led's you're talking about: Part#: GP-194F-5W?
the reason i ask is cause the part number you gave is a little off from what he has listed on the item's page.

also, you can put a 65w HI bulbs even though manual states 60w HI?

I'm not positive on the item # you gave, but I think that the -5W probably means that it is a white LED. I took the part # right off of the package. You will be fine using a 65w HI beam bulb w/nothing to worry about

I orderd the GP-194F-5W. Should be getting it by thrusday. Will let you know if the part number on the package is what 08seven50 quoted above. By the looks of the picture, it should match the 6K HID kit well.

As promised... here are a few night photos of the 55watt HID 5000K on a K8 vs a standard OEM halogen K7

Here is the comparison... we went twisty riding so I couldn't convince the owner of the K7 to come out after dark... hahaha. The comparison is done in a garage with florescent lighting, the intensity wasn't bright like a doctors office but more like single tube evenly spaced out at about 10 feet or so.

***Notice the intensity of the white light hitting the cement pillars on the K8 on the right vs the K7 on the left. Granted that housing make a difference from year to year... but it can only do so much when the iteration of models isn't that far apart.

My buddy did mention to me that when we were riding in the canyons, he could easily see me behind him because of my headlights were so noticeable and when were in the wooded areas... you can actually see the outline of the light. This was at 12pm-2pm

In the street night photos... I rode easily through a section of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park that had no street lamps with my gold spectra visor down. It was very easy still to navigate an see each crack in the road.

Well it wasnt really "plug n play", needed to get 2 proongs in then force the top one in with a flat head. No air/water/moisture should b getting into there thats for sure.. heres a pic of the 6k 50w from lite eyes, high beams are "hyper yellow" fog bulbs, and the parking light is a 27pieces led light.. I can say the 6k has VERY VERY minimal blue, as i wanted 4300 but it wasnt in stock, im glad i got the 6k. Cant see the yellows to well in the pic, but they are bright as hell at night.
Hey dude... I went with the Yellow Hi's .... doode totally right... the yellow beams are a significant difference... My friends can spot me outta the crowd of cars from a distance... and it turns heads when I ride...

WOW, such a difference. Im ordering the same kit to replace my old hid kit. Mine is no even close to yours. Thanks for the pics
No problem!!!! Thats why I posted them. Funny thing... That night happened to be the one NON-foggy night this past two weeks... I just have to angle them a bit lower and then it'll be golden.

Good to hear you went with my advice on the yellow fog high beams. its a different type of brightness thats for sure. Riding at night with the 55w hid, and the yellows is pretty crazy looking with the look of our front end / headlight desin, my buddies call it the "phoenix". I ride with the highs on all day, not so much at night...Any1 ride with their highs on at night all the time? I have a feeling cops would pull you right over for it.

.. Ive seen alot of talk about what type of 194 bulb to get, i have this one and its crazy bright with 27 led's on it!. it is a really tight fit, the end is a very tight fit to the glass but it fits have no fear, ive never had a problem with it and its been about 4 months now. Heres the link, they have other colors etc and sizes.. Also got #7507 led blinker bulbs for the mirrors, gets rid of the yellow look, and is a deep orange . It does that flash flicker crap, but id say its more noticeable than the standard flash. Any side effects..

Here are some pics I just took of my setup as previously posted. I'm very happy w/the color scheme and match that the "white" LED and 5800K HI beams have w/the 6000K HID low beam! I have more pics from different angles as well. I will be taking various nighttime shots tonight.

Is that yellow high beam legal?
Depends on your State... As far as California goes, High Beams running is perfectly legal for motorcyclists and yes yellow lights are perfectly legal also. Just so as long they aren't any other color like red. Blue is gray border line.

I work with CHP and local law enforcement so they confirmed that.

I ordered my kit from sharp now...Lite-Eyes will never get my service again with the way they are handling things. I can't even get an e-mail back from them. I gave up. John from Sharphid.com has been excellent and I'm just waiting for him to ship it.

do you have hid high beams too? Or jus reg bulbs? I do agree.. Sharphid is awesome.. I just went and bought a kit from them.. I'm never gonna do Lite eyes again either. I needa get my money back from them!!!! I'm pissed w/t hem.. But props to john from sharphid

Because of the nature of HID and how they start up and then the issue of where to put the 2 additional ballasts.... I think that having regular halogens might be best. You can flash people easier too.
