good job! that guy got exactly what he deserved!! :hammer

You all are giving this guy a hard time because of what he did. But honestly ask yourself. What would you have done if you saw someone sitting on your bike clearly tampering with the ignition?

Though you say you wouldnt do what this guy did. In the spur of the moment and excitement/shock of seeing someone fucking with your bike you probably would. I bet about 90% of you here would try to be super hero and do the same.

And before some of you start flaming, I know some of you would handle it civilized and confront the would be theif w/o being a smartass and having immediate intent on whipping his ass.

There. Are we good? :D:cheers

Im out.:flipoff :burnout

If I saw someone doing that while it was locked up and they were empty handed? Creep up till I was 10-15 feet away, scream 'hey fucktard!!' and run straight for em', grabbing them by the shirt and assisting them off my bike, followed by a good verbal lashing and if they got an attitude an old-fashioned ass-whoopin' would do the trick I imagine.
Of course in the heat of the moment anything could happen and the helmet would be a good weapon, but I'd at least give them a chance to realize they fucked up before giving them what could possibly be life-long scars just for sitting on someone else's bike having a quick fantasy moment.
:cheers

I just hope the scene was as funny as I envision it in my head. I swear it plays in slo-motion.

The slow turn of the perp's head just in time to catch the glint of light reflecting off the street light above. The flash of stars before his eyes as he whirls around to make out the face of the man weilding this fiberglass weapon. The feeling of repeated bashes about the head, wondering "What did I do to catch this ass whipping?"...

This just perked up my day. Thanks for sharing. Next time I'm in MIA I'm buying you a beer.

The only thing I would do different is I would have double fisted the helmet swing for optimum power delivery.

What everyone here seems to be missing is that the bike was chained to a post. If the guy was really trying to steal it wouldn't he have tried to remove the chain before starting the bike? Why fuck with a bike that is locked to a post and can't go anywhere?

I read posts on here every single day about people catching others sitting on their bikes and those don't end with somebody getting their teeth knocked out by a helmet. I have serious doubts that it actually went down the way the guy said it.

Then he leaves his wife alone and goes home to get his car? I call bullshit.
:thumbup

I think the very same thing each time I read these; "I kicked the crap out of a guy and my girl put out stories"

I'm so glad someone said it.

One part of me says "Your my hero!" but the other part of me says "You did hear the clank of a flatblade screwdriver as he flew off your bike right?"

I personally found a half stupid employee sitting on my old GSXR1000 fuel tank while holding the clip ons. He was just that stupid apparently and he thought that is how you sit on them! WTF. I've also discovered 2-3 drunk chicks sitting on my bikes outside of bars and my buddies FZR got knocked over my a drunk broad.

I guess that is why vigilante justice is not allowed in a civilized society, cause we need a court to determine their guilt or innocence. Although for the most part I'm all for the beating of thiefs etc...

I have to agree with both sides of this here.

Legally, yes you could be charged with aggravated battery for giving that dickhead his due. The state attorneys office is EXTREMELY liberal in Florida. I have airtight cases get dismissed on a regular basis, but don't think for a minute that they're not willing to rope a person up for defending their property at the expense of some scumbag's wellbeing. And the civil charges the guy could bring against you are even worse.

As far as him, at the most innocent, he was just putting has ass and his dirty little hands somewhere they don't belong. Or maybe he really was trying to steal your bike. Maybe he'll think twice before doing anything similar next time. Or maybe he'll have a gun or helpers with guns next time.

If I was responding to that, I would be trying my best not to put you in a bad spot, but the facts would be in the report, that's my job and I can't do anything less. And of course should there have been any burglary tools or anything, the guy would be getting charged for all of it.
Well I guess the lesson here is to carry a flat head screwdriver with you at all times... in a stash tube somewhere on your bike though, so it won't injure you in a crash.

Beat them stupid, throw the screw driver down in case they don't have their own, call the cops - or don't call them.

Some people may not understand what it means to ride in Florida. I personally have 6 buddies I rode with on at least a monthly basis. Guess what? They have all had their bikes stolen. Two of them chased away people who were "innocently" sitting on their machines. I did not take the time to search the area for tools. I am fine with the decision to beat his ass (I chuckle when I think about it). There are many bike theft rings working the Orlando area. In case you do not know already they almost always scope out your bike and security (or lack of it). One bud even observed that he was being followed, and did nothing to secure his bike. The next morning his bike was gone, coincidence? I do not think so. These thieving a-holes steal constantly with no consequences. The cops are busy dealing with other more "important" things, like giving out tickets.:wtf I will beat the stuffing out of the next a-hole I find "just sitting" on my machine.

If it does not belong to you keep your filthy thieving hands off of my sh*t!:cursing:hammer

Anyone living in Southern California knows it's exactly the same here. Someone isn't going to be sitting on your bike by themselves examining the ignition without some ill intent. So what if he didn't notice the lock....

I ride in FL and bikes from Jacksonville get stolen by the same theft rings that are in Orlando, Daytona, Tampa, and Miami. I also know people who have had their bikes stolen and they're all dumbasses like you and your buddies that leave their bikes unattended for long periods of time in front of their apartments and while they're at the movies and in the mall.

If you don't want your shit taken or fucked with then don't let it out of your sight and keep it in a locked garage for storage. Yes it sucks to have to worry about thieves but they aren't going to stop being thieves so you have to do everything possible to minimize the risk of theft. If that means not leaving your bike in front of a theater then maybe you should just take your car next time.

Next time you hit somebody in the face with a helmet (if you actually did it this time) for sitting on your bike I hope you go to jail.
