Well that sucks...

"the only reason he walked way is because of his good, gear, and helmet.."

I disagree...the only reason he walked away is because he's lucky as hell.
True, he is very fortunate to get outta something like this, but think about where he'd be if he had no helmet or gear, probably 6 feet under in a box

DAMN!! I dont know why guys would risk going that fast in the streets but then again we risk by just riding. your friend is not crazy but really STUPID, im sorry for saying that but i cant sugarcoat it. Im not good with "i hope he recovers" but he really deserved to die for going that fast like a squid will do. but for reals, if you guys have the urge to go that fast, TAKE IT TO THE TRACK. Period
What kind of shit is that to say? Why would you say he deserves to die your an asshat!!! No one deserves to die for doing dumb stuff on a bike... Murderers and rapists deserve to die!!! I hope you didn't really mean that... if you did you have got to be the biggest asshole on this site.:hammer

any one who is going that fast on the streets is gonna pay the cost...fortunatley he survived. it came kinda strong I know, but dude was not in his right mind trying to evade the cops..I mean is it really worth it running from the cops for a moving violation or some other minor crime...i dont think so:nono

From the story i read i hope he comes along and gets out of everything ok...

I skipped over pages 2-6 on the forum but my question is... Did he know the road he was speeding on cause u never high speed in a place you dont know about unless you are riding dirty...

Also how long has been riding cause that sounds like a squid move. u dont even need to run at 150mph cars top out at 130mph.

and the 3 choices.... I'v done the first 2 but the 3rd, i know a few that have choose that opinion.
1 is fun, heart pounding, and gives me props among my fellow ryders
2 sucks, cause i had a total of 5 tickets (but got 3 dismissed in court)
3 my ridin potna ran patch came out his back tire and couldnt turn ran off the road... ended up with punctured lung, and a foot that was 99.9% cut off (only a piece of skin held it on)

yeah it wa sa squid move, he rode befor, but his last bike was a yamaha Vstar, like harley type shit. and dirt bikes and shit like that. and he didnt have his endorcement so thats probably why he took off.. also no he didnt know the road he was on, i think he figured he was on the next road up from where he was because thats the road we always take on the way home.

but as far as everyone bitching about RIDING FAST IS FOR TRACKS ONLY!!! seriously.. get outta the city life you turds!!! no way in hell do i ride fast in town or any place with alot of people and cars and shit.. but seriously come up to these parts of Michigan.. nothing but long flat open country roads with farm fields on the other sides.. when were out in the country there isnt any other cars around and the sun is shineing and the road is long and flat for miles.. im pretty sure you all would open it up too.. dont belittle other people to make yourselfs look good.

OK Guys - its simple as this -

He didn't deserve to Die! for fuck sake - Nobody does in an accident anyway.

It would serve him more punishment to sit through the shit he's going through now...
that's painful enough without the worry of the aftermath thats gonna follow him around for a long time to come.

But, we all agree - he did some crazy shit and yes, he needs to be repromanded in some way - i'm sure he deserves what he's got coming - Not only does he give bikers the wrong image, and insurance hikes etc.... He's taught himself an invaluable lesson in the fact that he does not have the technical abilities he may have thought he had and will certainly think that sitting on top of a gixer doesn't make him an automatic super hero who can defy the laws of physics and of the world. He now knows HIS CHOICES were wrong and i'm pretty sure he wont be doing it again....

He DOESN'T deserve to die - that was a pathetic and insensitive thing to say and can only apologise on the kids behalf as i feel so sorry for the poor bastard as he's suffered enough.

That should be left at that - we've heard it all before and you can argue to your hearts content - but many people will not change their views and opinions, this thread could go on for ever, but guys - Have a heart! :punk

^ Thank you!!

The point was that he got lucky that he walked away from 150mph crash. not that he was being stupid because that goes without saying. and seeing his jacket and helmet.. you are never again going to see me without them. his carbon fiber helmet cracked in half, and he has no head trama. if he would have had leather pants on he would have walked away with two broken collar bones and a broken wrist and woul dbe able to walk away from it.. WEAR THE GEAR! it does help!!!!

im not just sayin this for my health here everybody im tryin to help it sink in because everyday i see people riding in shorts, t-shirts and flip flops..

he is in surgery today gettin skin graphed onto his kneecap. he hope everything goes as planned and we will hopefully be seein him leave the hospidal in another week or so.

Let me start with:
I wish him a speedy recovery.

Let me finish with:
These are the type of people that taint the whole outlook on Sport Bike Riders, he fits a few of the stereo types (SQUID)... aka just enoung $ to get the bike, only gets PLPD for insurance, then runs from the cops and totalls the bike and himself. I'm sorry he's hurt, but jesus crist, USE YOUR BRAIN! ...

Running from the cops should never be an option...

this is what i stated - you are just repeating posts alreaded posted!

same shit..... we are bored of it now - it happens all too often.....

we say the same damn thing all the time....

I cant believe people are still posting the same shit one after another - if you want to wish the guy a speedy recovery - do so.

If you don't - then don't post.....:mad

YES IF THERE WAS A TRACK AROUND HERE!!!! WE WOULD ALL BE THERE!!! but next time you make your way into the Farm field country life around here.. you tell me where theres a local track!
Swanny - I am very sorry for your friend and hope that you all have learned valuable lessons in gear, choices, etc. I along with most of the riders here don't wish harm on any of our two-wheeled brothers. A lot of us have though, been riding a long time - decades or more - and seen this happen over and over, even been there when fellow riders have passed.

If you want to explore your bike's limits you're right, the track is undeniably the safest place.

A ten second serach on http://www.trackdaycentral.com/phpBB2/tracks.php and I find two tracks

Gratten Raceway - 52 miles from Lansing http://www.grattanraceway.com/directions.html
GingerMan Raceway bread 116 miles from Lansing - http://www.gingermanraceway.com/

Hope this helps you the next time you find the urge. The street for me is about the ride, cruising with friends, bullshitting at stops and pretty scenery. When I want to go fast (which is often) I hit the track. As soon as you start going, your mentality on the street will change. You can NEVER approach the limits like you can on the track while riding the street. And if you do...well its a matter of time till something bad happens.

Best of luck to your friend and his upcoming long recovery. Stay strong for him and help his family understand too, since I am sure they are taking it the hardest.

he is out of ICU!!!

lucky little bastard is gettin better quick! haha they have stopped all internal bleeding in the lungs and set all his bones. he is still in alot of pain, but with all the morphine there pumpin into him he stays calm. i havnt got to get pictures of the crash site yet but i will try tonight.. it has been raining here for the last couple days so all the blood and stuff got washed away which is probably a good thing, i dont think anybody really wants to see any of that. but hopefully the sun is out tonight and ill snap a few pics. thank you all for your conserns and prayers, i dont find myself to be very religious. but The Man and i have our own understanding.

i thank everybody for your prayers. and this is a huge reason i am very thankful to be apart of the motorcycle community. when it comes to times of need we all understand eachother. thank you all and god bless
don't forget to thank the entire medical profession for being able to pull miracles liek that everyday.

hey go fuck yourself!:flipoff

no fuckin shit he made a bad choice.. but next time you go speeding down the highway or cut traffic or anything else. remember that i told you to EAT A DICK!!

and that goes for all of you.. if this shit happend to you.. we would all be praying for you too.. and the REASON full coverage is expensive is because of YOUR driving record.. i have 4 speeding tickets on my record and full coverage was outragious!!.. but my boy pays 74$ a month for FULL COVERAGE on his 05 600.. so blow me pal..

and YES he probably going to jail, and has more then definatly lost his lisence.. but thats not the point of this thread jackass's.. LEARN FROM HIS MISTAKE!!

YES IF THERE WAS A TRACK AROUND HERE!!!! WE WOULD ALL BE THERE!!! but next time you make your way into the Farm field country life around here.. you tell me where theres a local track!

this isnt a big city, this is not a big town.. life isnt the same over here as it is in California and Florida.. big states that you can ride all year round..

AT THE MOST WE GET 4 MONTHS OF GOOD RIDING WEATHER ALL YEAR!!!!!!!

so keep the negitive comments to yourself. and i pray that you guys dont go down.. because he walked away from a 120mph crash in pretty good shape considering the alternative outcomes. most people that go down at 70 on the highway dont walk away from it.. it was a grace of GOD that he is still here.. the jailtime and fines are alll just consiquences.. he has a true life lesson in his lap and who knows could maybe change the world with it.. so i pray that your negitive words dont come back around to bite you fuckers in the ass. good luck and ride safe
AMEN. my buddy got metal rods in both of his legs from going down at 80. it's good to hear about your friends recovery. another lesson for the masses!

I wish your friend a speedy and painless recovery.

I am sure he learned his lesson.

good luck with the recovery. i have a plate and 6 screws in my leg fron going down also my best friend is recovering fron an atv accident in sept 05 still. let this be a lession to all. wear your gear
