Rider went down at 150mph friday night.... 6/1/07
hey everybody,
well it has been a long weekend. a fellow rider and close friend desided to make the choice to run when the 5-0 flicked his lights this weekend on a back country road. to my understanding from police reports and speeking with police on the sence. they turned onthe lights somewhere exiting MSU campus in East Lansing, MI. he was on his way out of town hit the country road and opened it up. somewhere along the way thinking he was on the next road up from where he actually was came over a hill at 150 and to a giant suprise there was no more road. what was left of the road came to stop sign and T'd into another road. on the other side of the street from the stop sign the MSU research fasility for Farming. without enough room to break they say he slowed to almost 120mph by the time he laid the bike down. he slid thru the stopsign and some 385 feet thru grass nearly missing a complete row of steel tubular fencing lining the cow farm. inches from a telephone pole. and as the bike smashed itself into the steel fence at 100 mph it blew the bike into an incredible amount of flying objects and crumpled it into a ball of metal. the only thing saving his life was the fact that the bike hit that fence first. by doing that it ripped the chain apart holding the fence closed. and slid the fence open just enough for his ragged body to slid thru the gap. when he came to a complete stop there was nothing left of his leather jacket and pants that had been ripped into shreds. both collar bones poking thru the skin and a wrist shattered. a dislocated knee cap and extream amounts of road rash covering his legs, arms, chest, and chin. he lays in ICU at Sparrow hospidal as i type this. nobody has been able to see him yet since friday night when he came in. he had massive internal bleeding in his lungs which was causing him to choke on his own blood. he is extreamly lucky he is still here with us today. we hope and pray that he recovers to his full potential. yes he was EXTREAMLY stupid for what he has done to himself. and besides of a 3 week old 13,000$ motorcycle totalled out and the 100's of thousands of $$$$ in the hospidal.. we all pray for him to return to this world at 100%.
let this be a lesson to all others tho think they can excape the law.
there is always only 3 things that can happen
1.you run and get away
2.you stop and get a ticket
3.you run, and get hurt, hurt someone else. or possible kill yourself or kill someone else.
in my opinion 2&3 highly outway #1.. if your man enough to do the crime. be man enough to do the time.. ride smart. be safe, enjoy your life. you never know when it will be taken away from you.
