ALWAYS be wary of custom paint jobs. usually an indication that it was wrecked and re-painted. secondly, that price seems awfully low, even for a 2001. I see some 98 SRADS that go for more than that. Check the blue book and see what the cost should be. also, check the VIN and run a report to see if it was salvaged.

as for the lift kit.....i've never heard of anyone doing this, and i don't know why anyone would. before i ignorantly talk shit about it, someone please shed some light on why anyone would do this.

he openly admitted that he used to use it on a track 1 weekend out of the month for the summer last year...he then bought an r1 and gave the gixxer to his wife. now they are seperating and he wants to sell it...

Clean as in not a salvage title or clean as it hasn't been stolen?


I would buy it and use it for a trackbike. Don't know about using it otherwise.
 
I would go take a serious look a this bike, you, and everyone else on this forum knows that a 01 600 even with some mods and 15k miles that HASNT been laid down sells more then 3k. take it for a spin and check it out. check for engine knocks at different RPMS and do this to check the forks. cruise about 60 trho it in neutral and let go of the handle bars and see if it goes left or right, if so forks problems, maybe triple trees or slighty bent forks. anyways i could go on and on about shit to check out, but get er done. peace
 
Looks like a good deal to me provided the bike runs fine. Make sure it pulls hard through ALL 6 gears. I'd buy it. The price is right. Not too low, not too high....but very realistic. It's a 5 year old machine. Buy it quick because for that price even the dealers would be glad to take it.
