338 lbs ready to race, no fuel.

82 HP, perfectly flat powerband.

I'd hit it!

Actually, I would love to have a second SV for track only - that'd be great. But as I've said before, we don't have tracks that allow over 125cc, so I have to settle for one of those...
Image
BUT - there's less than a month (Sep. 3rd) till I'm going to a track in Sweden with my SV

Martin, you are a pretty big guy, I would recommend against a 125, but you gotta do what you gotta do...

Anyway, here is my new toy, should get here in a week or so, then it is tear down and rebuild time....

headed to the states soon? now that I will have 2 track SV's we could go rip up the tracks.

Hey, Kurt - nice bike
Image
You even got the right color
Image
Can't wait to get one of those. Next season (march or april or so) I'll have saved enough money for one
Image
BTW, the SV1K costs 145K DKR here (over 22K US$
Image
), so that's why I wait a little...
Image

Yeah, I would recommend agaist the 125 too
Image
but I'd rather be able to go to the track on a 125 track bike a couple of times a week, than a couple of time a year - on my street bike
Image
And I can get a used Aprillia or Cagiva, prepped for track, for around 14000 DKR (2100~US$)
Image
And I don't have to worry so much about dropping it

I have to ask since I am kinda afraid to mess with the eletrical system where oh where did all those wires in the front and go?????

what wires? those are added weight. I think there are 7 wires left on the bike, excluding the 2 spark plug wires.

I don't like messing with electrical either, that's why I stripped all that crap off.

Kippie you need to move down here and give me a hand!!!! I'm scared to death to mess with the eletrical (I have bad luck with that crap) but I can't stand having all that excess stuff on the bike!!!

bro i can take some pics of my progress, i love electrical crap and i found the sv has tons of wires you don't need for the track, last night i went through and pulled wire after wire...
Image

that would be awsome!!!! I am worried that I will yank the wrong crap and then wind up with a test light and ohm meter trying to unscrew somthing that I shouldn't have touched in the first place
Image
Image
Plus I hate reinventing the wheel if someone already knows what you can mess with and what to leave alone!!!!

Thanks
