Lame ass tae kwon do shit, both of them went for kicks. If I saw some guy trying to do a fancy jumping spin kick I'd rush his ass and take him to the floor. As soon as you get inside their leg length they don't know what to do, they suck in the clinch and their hand to hand is pitiful.

That little ten year old kid would kick your ass.

No technique, just power. And like posted in AG, I think it's two women (somebody is yelling Go Danielle) and if it's the tourney I can think of the girl that kicked died.

I'm sure since he's in my weight class and he has just as much experience as I do. Ever seen tae kwon do win a street fight, or MMA fight or any other type of fight other than a tae kwon do tournament. Tae kwon do is a sport, not an art. Kicks are just flashy and any experienced fighter will tell you that jumping spin kicks are useless in a real fight..... unless you're fighting a 10 year old.

i think you will find that tae kwon-do has been watered down alot but it still is a military martial art used both by the koreans and other forces. also when trained for self defence as it was intended it is very effective. Its just a shame that the western world wants the easy quick fix sporty route which has lead to all the arts losing there original meaning. Most black belts in fact are kidding themselves on how good they are no matter what art they do. korean arts have alot to offer just look at hapkido and tukkong moosool for the fighting side. sorry just sick of the my arts better than your art debate. we all have 2 arms and 2 legs if you train properly in any chosen art you will come to a similar place as you fellow artist and no longer be bothered by the i can whip your arse mantality.

having just watched the clip. yes its competition fighting so rules apply. going by pads and style its WTF style similar to olympic so you wont see hand techniques. we actually have more hand techs than foot but you all know that right. the kick is good well timed and designed to connect at hand range by going under the attackers move and up behind. if anything it could have been pulled a little to lower the impact but a good move used well for where it was in a comp.
