Well, after a 6yr run of not crashing on the track...the run ended today with a nice highside and a body CRUSHIN slam into mother earth (earth won). Some of you might remember back in 2004, my CRF bit me and I tore my ACL......today I was out on the kart track with my NSR50 and was having a blast. About 6 sessions into the day, I came up on a few guys in a corner where I carry a lot of corner speed and had to make a quick decision, hit someone or try to get the bike slowed down.....well I decided not to hit anybody and tried my best to slow it down. Problem was, I was already turned in and while braking hard the front locked, tucked and the next thing I know....my body is doing a pile driver into the pavement...head and shoulder hit first followed by my side.

A trip to the ER and I have at least one cracked rib and a lot of deap bruising on my shoulder and my rib cage.

Fuggin little bikes BITE hard.

BTW - pain killers and beer is what the rest of my day will be.:wacko :yumyum

glad it wasent that bad.

i like how guys here fall and just get back on.

going to work soon??? if not that tourist trophy looks good:cheers

ps. post pic of your bike and gear when you can :)
I'll be back on a bike/racebike as soon as I can deal with the pain (4 weeks until my next race).

Bike and gear is fine....you almost cant tell that the bike has been in wreck (slow speed has something to do with it.....bike didn't slide very far) and the leathers are fine....only the helmet shows any real damage (another paper weight to add to the collection).

All in all it was not that bad....it just sucks that I'm out for around 4 weeks.

Dude - I was there! Englishtown Kart track right? I saw the ambulance come at about 4:30 pm - right? I was doing the Go Kart open practice Sr level. I think you guys were on right after us...the pocketbikes.

Was my first time at that track, and I saw the pocketbikes, and I was wondering what skills I can carry over for racing/track days. The gokarts were fun to slide around, but not sure how much of that I can carry over to MC.

Either way - hope you're okay. Least it was just a pocketbike.

The pb's were right after the Sr karts....I pounded myself into the pavement around 2:30-3:00 in the left right after the carousel. I was one of the two guys who were on the bigger bikes (NSR).

Since the next practice is like 5 weeks away, I'll B good 2 go.
