long story short...left lights on for bout 20 min. wont kick over. will kick but stop after bout 2 sec. two beeps sound also when i try to start it..dead battery? need new battery or ju give it time? could be anything else?

Probably dead battery. Put it on a charger / check it with a volt meter.

yeah low or dead , shouldn't need a new one just a charge .

^^ good advice to get you home or some were fast but if its dead you should charge it up once you get off of it or you can end up getting stuck far from home .

Out of curiosity.. how do you push start?

First gear ignition on... get moving forward and pop the clutch?

I'm pretty sure riding the bike would re-charge the battery enough that you wouldn't have to take the battery out and charge it alone.

I prefer second, but either will do.

Ignition on, put the bike in gear, pull in clutch.

Get running to a good pace, speedo will read like 7-8mph, jump onto seat and pop clutch once you're on.

Probably gonna have to gas it a bit too. It should start running, once it does, pull clutch back in and give it some revs.

Catch breath and continue as normal.
