Ya, so I umm... stripped the head on a plastic/nylon screw trying to take the windscreen off to replace it with a puig... :hammer

Anyone know of a good way to remove this fucker without damaging anything? If not guess I'll take it to the stealership tomorrow and tell them that I fuxxered up.

The screw is still on the screen which is still on the bike, so I'm not sure if I'd be able to grab the remaining bit with a pair of vice grips?

go to your local hardware store. ask them where the bolt outs or screw outs are. they are basically a reverse threaded drill bit that grips as you drill it in in reverse thus backing out the screw.

or u could just drill that bitch out through the entire screw, easier than shit just use a small drill to start with

best method

yeah right? i mean, ive only done it 2 times...this week. i keep on screwin up the fairings for the damn sliders...make the pilot hole too big. so i gotta go and drop the damn bike off a truck going 70. then dent the frame with a rubber hammer. stupid sliders...wish they made no-cut ones or something.

If you have a dremel use a small cutting blade and notch it for a flat head then use that to back the screw out. Its plastic so it shouldnt be that hard at all.

Good luck Im dealing with a bunch of stripped screws on my friends 750 right now.

:cheers
