I just bought a K7 gsxr 600 and the guy removed the ram air vents in the front, the little wire mesh cover over the ram air intakes, and I want to but them back in and have no idea how to get them in there without scratching the plastic.
Any help on this would be GREAT!!!!

thanks

if you look on the inside edge of the air ducts it has little plastic lips for the mesh wire vents. just put one side (usually top or bottom) of the vent in the lips first and work the rest of it in. just make sure you put the vents in the correct side, simply hold it up to the opening to make sure it will fit correctly.

you dont need to take anything off, you can see it all if you just kneel down infront of the bike and open your eyes . Like gsxr600rida says start from the top then the bottom ... use needle nose pliers to hold the vent while you place it in its spot ... Should take minutes for both,,,,,, Not hard .. good luck

I had the same problem when I got my 06 750. I was only missing the left hand mesh (facing the bike). This is what I did, ordered the entire ram air duck took out the mesh
1.) pushed a shoe string through the top and bottom portion of the mesh
2.) slide the mesh in sideways
3.) pull on the shoe string and the mesh will stand up in the duck and snap into place.

took less than 1 min. Hope that helps, mine looks perfect.

No problem...I had to order the whole duck from Oneida Suzuki like stated earlier. I got resourceful with my shoe strings after I noticed that I would've had to take off my motivation slider and the fairing. Anyway glad I could help!

BTW...its listed as and "intake pipe" on most OEM parts websites. RH...Right side, LH left side (Sitting on the bike)

nice avatar,
are you checking your mesh covers in that pic?
it's a little easier to pull over and check
