750's or 1100's???

91 was the last year for oil boil 750's
92 was the last year for oil boil 1100's

 

United States had the oil cooled 750 until 1992, the rest of the world got the gsxr 750wn in 92, the US saw it in 1993

Thanks for all the replies, turns out that im probably getting a 94' so its water cooled. but i was looking more for things that are known to go out on this particular bike, like how the t-25 turbos on an 2G eclipse are junk after 25,000 miles

The only things I've heard of as being common problems are the pretty minor... the ignition-coils have a reputation as being flaky but they're ridiculously easy to replace if they do go bad, and the other thing is pretty common to any big sportbike that gets abused: the dreaded transmission/2nd-gear problems. If it idles nice and smooth once it's warmed up, and if you can slam the throttle open from about 4000RPM and hold it pinned in 2nd gear without any hiccups, then it's probably got an OK transmission. Other things are common to any used bike: chain/brake-pads/fork-seals/tire-wear, etc, etc, etc...

 

most carbs cv style will develop a needle jet wear issue.
