Re: New Picture post thread. Post \'em up!

very nice both of you.
Image
unfortunately, i do not have any new fotos of my bikes.

av8er, are you afraid to ride your bike with the new bodywork?

in my opinion, all you need is a rear grab bar. they come in handy and that is one of my gripes with my 91 750; no grab bar! i have brand new, still in the wrapper, grab bar brackets, spacers and bolts. i also have a used grab bar, but your bike is too nice for it. you are better off getting a new one from suzuki.

Bullet, congrats on the TL - do you plan on running it as a track bike or just running it on the street?

Marko, I was a little afraid of jacking up the last set of NOS bodywork on the planet, but as of today, it's no longer new - so I'm okay with riding it now.

The grab bar is on my to do list. Suzuki still has stock on that as well as the brackets so I'll pick one up sooner or later.

One of the things I like about the new bodywork is that the mids do not have holes for those reflectors that everybody likes to take off and then cover with a sticker. I hate those things but now they are gone so I'm pretty happy about that.

Re: New Picture post thread. Post \'em up!

thanks im liking the new tiller or as im naming it the garden weasle, i plan on using it for both track and street. on the street with is newer much much much thicker seat and the fact that it has a trunk this is going to be my long range bike woo hoo. now i can start bring the old 92 1100 down the path to crazy HP via, a turbo/ super charger/ NOS type lunacy. yep the garden weasle has a decent list of mods on it for track use.

bike mods

01 TL1000R

01-03 GSX-R750 forks with race tech valves and springs

Bitubo Rear Shock

01-02 GSX-R1000 brakes with Goodridge SS brake lines

Vortex triple

Harris fully adjustable rearsets

Fabbri double bubble dark smoke windscreen

Joe V airbox mod

Power Commander II

earthing and plus mod

semi active TRE

kerker bolton's

riflemans 1/5th throttle

Looks outstanding av8r.

"right click and save" on the last pic, great work.

I also found mids without the holes for the reflectors.
It seems like most of the replacements were made without them.........
definitely a good thing.

No new pictures to post.
LOL..........I'm sure everyone here has seen the ones I have.

Thanks PA! I like the last one too. I think it's the sign in the background (and it was taken on the back way into Laguna Seca Raceway). If you want a full size copy I would be happy to send you one. I love that camera BTW. Its an Olympus Stylus 300 (the all weather Marine proof one). The only time it has taken a bad picture was when I had a smudge on the lens - and it took me a while to figure that one out. Go figure. Marine proof - yeah right.

Eric... that thing is looking awesome. Another fan of the last pic, but I saved 'em all. I needed some to offset all of PA's I've saved.

No new pics here yet either...

Re: New Picture post thread. Post \'em up!

Thanks Rob, it's almost done. I still need to paint and mount the tail parts unless my EU source comes through with both left and right parts. Then I'll just pay and hang em up.

Hey Tuner, that's looking pretty good. Those are Srad fairings right? And a Ducati 916 tail? How do you plan on painting it? That would look pretty damn cool with the Lucky Strike paint scheme on it...

Re: New Picture post thread. Post \'em up!

Same EU source? Just heard back from him (rather quickly, actually) but he showed me the wrong colour scheme left mid. He's gone back to hunting for the proper scheme.

At least he hasn't said no yet...

Re: New Picture post thread. Post \'em up!

Well, not same guy I got the lower from, but for the record that part was 100%. Even with the amount of cash I spent on it, I'm sleeping well at night. The EU source I'm talking about now is the other one - Benny. We'll see how it goes, but I may have cut my own throat. I sent the addresses out to other GDC members looking for the same parts. We on the other hand are not looking for the same parts so I wish you the best of luck on it.

Re: New Picture post thread. Post \'em up!

Thanks Long. Yes they are Srad upper, lowers,& ram air tubes. Srad front Techno wheel. The tank is 88-92 750 that I flat bottomed & rear sumped. Tail section is completely from 98 R1. Back wheel is Techno from Duc 900 monster. I dropped bike off today to have RC51 front & rear calipers hung & proper rear wheel spacers. I don't have access to a lathe or a mill or I'd do it myself.
Image

Yes it will be Lucky Strike replica with proper #34 on side & front!
Image

I have the sticker kit from UK but will have to fill in lower air duct on both sides of fairings to make it work right. Otherwise I will lose too much of writing in center of red dot.

Re: New Picture post thread. Post \'em up!

Tuner, that is going to look nice. Make sure you update us with photos after the paint. I guess I was right about some Ducati parts. I could have swore that was a 916 tail though.
Image
I'd like to have some Techno wheels someday... How much more capacity did you get out of the tank?

Re: New Picture post thread. Post \'em up!

yeah, tuner, that is one wicked looking bike!
Image

regarding the other foto of the black 91 750; i think that is what longav8er refers to "miller time!" i can go for that right now.

Re: New Picture post thread. Post \'em up!

My winter project... almost done, Just need front brake line and carbs adjusted.

Image

Hey Cipher...are you talking about that beer or the bike!
Image

Seriously nice pics.
Image

Long, the tank now holds about 6 1/4 gallons when empty. I did it more to clean up under tank area so more room/easier to run ram air tubes without interference.

Oh & Long, I went to my storage today & guess what I found? That's right my Techno Vortice II rear rim 5.5x17 & it's even Yosh powder blue color. Let me know if your interested.
