I know this has been beaten to death. I need the link with the directions on how to remove the set valve. I seem to remember someone posting good directions with diagrams. Please help so I can replace my bolt on with a slip on
Its pretty simple... If you follow the SET cables up you will see the servo. Its attached by two bolts (hex) through the frame. Just unscrew those and pull the servo down. When you pull it down, unplug the cable plug. And thats it. Dont even need to take anything apart.
P.S. Dont forget to unplug the SET wire from the CPU... I think its brown with a black stripe its the right plug if you are looking at the bike from the back (under the seat) I think its number 8 counting from the left (but double check that wire color). If you dont unplug it the bike will run in power saving mode and the error light will be on.
That PDF is great, i opened it after i posted... Except i never took off the fairing, not needed... and the servo is mounted to the subframe If you look at the subframe you will see a hole right above the rear brake reservoir. The second bolt is to the right...
The manual says to disconnect the cables from the servo but i would just take it out completely since its not used, just waisting space and weight.
