Sup Guys, I Have An 2005 GSXR 1000 With 24k Miles On it Mods Are As Follows M4 Slip On, K&N Air Filter, Secondary Butterflies Removed.. For About 2 Weeks Now I Have Been Having A Problem With It Cutting Off While Riding (Seems like it only does it when im on about an hour ride). So Today I removed the power commander thinking it was causing the problem tunrs out it wasnt Causing a single problem.

So far i have: Removed the power commander(for no reason), Cut And Crossed The Wires For The KickStand Safety Switch, Installed Brand New NGK Iridium Plugs (CR9EIX), Checked the Air Filter, Mixed 93 Octane With VP 110 Octane Fuel, Checked Resistance In The Coil Sticks (They Were In Spec)..

Im Lost As To What Could Be Causing The Problem:wtf. Any Info Yall Could Give Me Would Be GREATLY Appreciated!! I Will Try To Answer All Your Questions Best As Possible. Thanks! :cheers

zip-tie the kickstand up tight, go for a ride, and see if it still happens.

If this stops it - remove the kickstand sensor and solder+heatshrink the two leads together. If this doesn't stop it, well, I'm not sure what to suggest.

If you do bypass the kickstand sensor, be VERY careful to never pull away with the stand down.

Yeah Man I Hated To Do It But I Cut The Wires To It Crossed Them, Taped And Tucked It Away. Still Have The Same Damn Problem.

Thanks For The Tip Man!

In that case, I'd have to guess a bad wiring connection, a bad ground, or a bad wire. None of that is any fun, but that's my best guess. I'd check the ignition wiring harness at it's connection to the main harness for burnt connectors/pins.

Maybe somebody else will have something else you can check.

Fixing To Start Checking The Wiring Then. I Hate Wiring But You Gotta Do What You Gotta Do. Thanks Again Man!

I know on my 94 the ignition plug literally melted, I ended up wiring in individual connectors for each wire that were heavier duty and never had issues.

Not had any burnt connectors on my '07 so far :knocks on wood: but if memory serves me correctly, the ignition connector melting isn't very uncommon.

Also The Previous Owner Lowsided It, Could It Be The Tip Over Sensor? If So How Do I Check It?

All The Ignition Plugs Look To Be In Great Condition Even The Pins Are Nice And Shiny. Thanks

If it were the TOS, I'd think the FI light would come on, but I could be wrong (never tipped mine over) :knocking on wood, again:

Does the bike shut off like all electrical power is gone, or does the engine just die (dash and lights stay on)?

The Motor It Self Shuts Off But I Keep All Other Electrical Lights, Gauges And Such. But I Turn The Key Off Then Immediatley Turn It Back On The Bike Will Fire Right Up But Then Soon Again Do The Same Thing. Its Like Im Hitting The Killswitch While Riding (Which Im Certainly NOT Doing). But Right Before It Does It, It Usually Kinda Backfires/Misses Then Dies, Then Sometimes It Just Dies Out Of Randomness.

Just Found That The "IAP,MAP,MAF Sensor" (WTF Ever Its Called) Behind The Battery Doesnt Have A Hose Hooked To It. Is This Ok?

Without knowing what has been done to your bike, I don't know. IAP is Intake Absolute Pressure, and MAP is Manifold Absolute Pressure - similar but different. MAF is mass-air-flow and I don't think you'd find that with a little hose run to it (but I've admittedly not looked at the ones on bikes). I know on a car, it's a small section of the intake itself.

I have no idea if your bike has any mods where that isn't needed/isn't used, but if the bike is stock you should probably find out where it hooks up to, and hook it up.

Would it cause the bike to die? I don't know - I'd think it'd cause all kinds of problems starting/idling/etc and a FI light if it was an issue.

Its kinda funny that ur posting about this issue about urbike...i JUST posted about a VERY similar issue with mine that it felt like u hit the kill switch..few seconds go by...backfires n comes back....i feel ur pain with going ovr a list of possibilities n not figuring it out..

Its the kickstand switch..lol i just took it to my father in laws and he zip-tied it...problem solved...n i have a 00 gsxr600. Put all ur other stuff (p.c., etc) back in and try that...i can damn near PROMISE u its that stupid switch lol.

Ya know...im noticing adecent number of ppl on here..various years...having issues with that switch. You would think maybe Suzuki would realize that those switches need to be better quality. Cuz this guy and i both could have spent stacks of money on sh*t thats not necessary

Worked On It For 6+ Hours Didn't Really Get Anywhere. Did Notice The Idle Is Low (1k RPM'S).

My bike has the same problem. I couldn't figure it out and it does the same thing you saying. It does fire right up after it dies on the road. The rpm shakes a little before it dies. It is not the kick stand or tip over switch because eletricity is still running through the bike, It has to do with fuel injection system somehow. Anyway, I noticed something strange in my bike that does not happend all the time. sometime when I start the bike the headlight does not come on so I found out that if I tap the bottom of the right side handlebar (under the kill switch) just lightly the light comes on. I am not sure if this has to do with the probelm but I thought it is worth mentioning.
