Well, she went down today. i was turning around in an intersection of a new housing developement by my house. At all the intersections there is a dip made with concrete, not pavement. There was a little bit of water, about 3" wide sitting in the dip. I was turning around at about .25mph and the front just slid right out from under me, and no, i do not have frame sliders on her. Now, before the flaming begins, let me just say that I bought the bike for a commuter mainly and to ride some so cal canyons on the weekend. By no means is she a trailer queen or anything like it. I ride the crap out of it, for my skill level at least and have put just over 13,000 miles on it since I bought it may 9th this year. I've been riding dtreet for about 3.5 years now and this was my first mishap. I really don't care about the scratches, but wanted to post a pic for all of you who do care about looks and have not yet got sliders. Don't let this happen to your baby. Get em'!!!

Actually, I purchased a set, but they sent me the wrong ones. I returned them and just procrastinated. It sucks yea, but like I said, I bought it to ride not look at. Yea, I'm ok too. I won't ride without helmet, textile(fully padded) jacket, gloves jeans and boots at a minimum.
True. For now though, all my savings has been going to a full brake system upgrade. I'de rather spend money on performance enhancements than anything else. Oh yea, and possibly some sliders.

That's why I posted the pic. I'm not too concerned myself, but maybe can give some motivation to procrastinaters out there like myself. It's been said many times, its not if, but when you will go down.
