That sounds normal to me based on the tons of research I’ve done on 2007-2008 GSXR 1000’s.

Based on Suzuki’s claimed factory HP, and google dyno numbers, the 07-08 make the most power before the redesigned 2017 gixxer 1000. But our bikes are heavier too. So it really balances out.

My K5 put down the same RWHP #'s. Pump gas w/ 10% ethanol, etc. Stock motor. I'm re-dynoing soon, on non ethanol pump gas, cooler day, hoping to hit mid 160's RWHP!

The K7/K8 make a Suzuki claimed 12 more HP at the motor stock than K5/K6.

I’ve seen plenty of K7/K8 GSXR 1000’s put down 166-171 stock. But it just varies so much with dynos, that we just cannot realistically compare the two.

I still think all GSXR’s are pretty power equivalent from 2005-2016. While the K7/K8 make more power they’re heavier too.

I know this for sure. I drove a bone stock 2011 GSXR 1000 for over 2 years as a daily driver. And my bone stock 2007 feels like it has more HP to me.

 

Yea TPS3443 is right all dynos give different numbers and it har to tell the actual difference. Looking to later down the road to tune it on mr12 to see the hp differens...
