^what flushmounts do you have? I'm wanting to get some but cant find any I have liked

thanks chewee, and puppalucci you bike is badass too! It's funny that your girl can barely reach but then again I was having problems too after I raised the tail...though they wernt that extreme. How tall are you? Im just below 6ft and it made me uncomfortable to have the bike that high/not being able to really stand right. You gonna tint the windscreen? IF you were jealous of my bike please dont be...it took so much time and effort I pray that I never have the desire to do that again. Id rather have a tooth pulled without a shot to numb it

and have you considered moving the plate? I was trying to figure out for the longest time where I could mount it and finally decided where I wanted to put it...thats in my tail swap thread. It's hard to do without completely ruining this sick undertail we got

no not jealous ,just envious of the nice bikes out there. As far as the seat height, my wife does have to tippy toe on my bike but shes only 5'6"....Im..6'3".

The windsreen on my bike has about 2-3 hours(painting and trimming) of work into it, and I wouldnt consider tinting as this would not permit getting in a full tuck at speed.:yumyum

And as far as the plate goes I ued to have it mounted on the axle but Fla law says no more vertical tags or you can have yourself a 1000.00 fine...so thats where it got to be. :nono

I have pretty much stopped putting any more $ into this one and have proceeded to working on my 05-750 for now...but would love to do 06up-1000 fork swap.

Puppa- what was the work you did to your windscreen?

some of my older pics have my experiment screen on them. I started with a Zero gravity clear Double bubble...grinded it down, shortened it to give it a better shape(IMO)....the stock and uncut db's seems to have those "ears" that come back and look kinda goofy..:monkeyface

Then after I taped it off right where the bubble goes to the second stage and sprayed it with that krylon plastic paint on the inside to black it out...it looks way better in person and paint has lasted about 2 yrs now.

I actually like, Have any befores?

Yea i really like that also How much did you have to grind down to get rid of those "ears"

You can cut the windscreens down with a jigsaw. Msking tape where you want to cut and cut right down the center of the tape. I want to get a junk windscreen and cut it down so the top is even with the top of the cowl. The only thing that worries me is where the wind will deflect to after I do that.

Do not use a jigsaw. Use a grinder and take it down slowly to a taped off edge. For me it was about 1-1/2 inch for the ears and about 1/2 from the top. The jig saw will shatter it and not cut a straight line for shit either . Hard for me to post now I'm at work.
