I was just wondering if the srad 600's are all cold natured bikes in general or if my bike is out of (choke, air/fuel) adjustment. My bikes temp has to be 150+ degrees before it accelerates smooth down low. I usually let it sit and warm up b4 I take it out, don't need to stall out pulling out in front of a semi. I live off of main highway (lots of trucks) out here and sometimes i'm in a hurry and want to hop on and go. My buddy has a 2000 r1 and on his he doesn't even have to warm it up, just starts up revs a couple of times and off he goes. He did say his fzr600 was cold natured like mine. Anyone else out there with the same probs. :scratch

I always let mine get up to about 160 before I ride it. That's about when it will run smooth without any choke. It always sounds uneven warming up and I know the carb's are set OK so I guess yours is probably representative. FI is able to fuel much better at low temp's, that's why they are smooth from start up. Carb's ain't so good at that but they're bloody good thereafter - and you can mess with them if things ain't right. Warm up is just part of the ritual of riding a carburettored machine - just let it do so while you put your riding gear on, it only takes a couple of minutes.
