I have a 2003 Gixxer 750 thats giving me a little issue. i tested the battery its reading @ 12volts sitting and @ 13volts started and reved up around 2,500-3,000 rpm. i changed the regulator with a new one i also noticed the harness was starting to get burnt so i choped it back and made a new solid conection. i took it for a drive and stoped by somewhere, shut it down did what i had to do, started it up and went to my next location did the samething. then on the third time i experenced the the sign of a weak battery when cranking. so i pushed started it and went home, while being in route i tried pushing my horn and no sound. i got home and shut it down and tried starting it and it didnt want to crank up (battery being weak) charged it up with a battery tender over night and the next day it started up again. tested the charging system and it shows 13volts+ when revving up to 2,500-3,00 rpm. the battery was new by the way and it doesnt drain if i let it sit in the bike for a few days. could it mean my stator is going out? im thinking of getting one and trying that but i would like some input before i go that route. thanks for any help. i really miss riding. as for now i take my 03 Campanga T-Rex and thats easing my relef of riding but its two different feel. i miss my two wheel :(

You should be putting out 14 volts plus around 4-5000 rpms. 13 volts may not be enough to recharge the battery with all the lights on and stuff. Easiest thing would be to have the battery checked to make sure it can take and hold a charge. You may want to check the rectifier out back.

Did you check the connections at the stator ? Also have you tested the stator per the manual ?
