GSXR 1000 K4 Yoshimura RS3 Full System Fitment on K1

hello guys ,

a friend of mine is selling his 1000 k4 yoshi system and i was wondering if it will fit my gixxer 1000 2001 without mounting issues and also from what i heared these yoshi systems are mounted without gaskets.
and advice would be appreciated before screwing it up. tried to search online for pdf mounting instructions but can't find them anywhere anymore.

I have a listing of "all" Yoshimura systems and every one for K4 is listed as 01-04. So you're probably OK. I think your system is pn 1115052. Can you confirm that? The muffler is CF but its label reads "RS-3 Stainless". What's that about? Could be wrong but I'm suspicious of no gaskets. I might have the instructions for one of these systems on another computer if you can't find any. There's a link to the 1115052 instructions at Yoshimura in another thread here but it's dead.

P.S. These might be the instructions.

Thanks Bll for the quick reply and pdf manual for these series. I also emailed yoshimura and here is their response:

So this exhaust will fit the GSXR1000 2001-04 models. On the 03-04 models, these do NOT use exhaust gaskets, where the 01-02 Will Use the exhaust gaskets.

I have also attached the pdf of the instructions/parts list for this system for you.

On the exhaust i can't see any number specified but they also sent the same pdf manual so i guess i'm good to go.

Strange. The parts fiche shows the K4 and K2 use the same exhaust pipe and gasket. The midpipes are different but that's well away from the head.
