Pictures from Club Motorsports in Tamworth, NH from June 13 & 14. Part of the Fishtail Riding School group. Pictures by John Owens Photography. Had 2 great days & learned a lot.

We can clearly see the full exhaust system ;-)

Just a piece of advice. On the last picture, your external leg and foot are not in full contact with the bike. This is the key. With the lower body, you must feel that you lean the bike with the external leg, not by putting pressure on inside peg. That is why it is important to have the best contact with the bike.
Tank grip (Stompgrip i.e.) will help to increase friction with leg for better contact and this will result to relax all your upper body and you will feel so much comfortable when leaning. Knee dragging will be a formality ;)

Thanks - I know. My instructor pointed out several areas for me to work on, that being one. He also videoed me for an entire session; and then we sat down and "critiqued". On the bright side, not too bad for only my 3rd & 4th track days ever; and me being 66 1/2 years old. Thanks again. Peter

Nice, I just got back from my 3rd track day, I was at NYST on the 30th. I gotta get my body position better, any abs issues with yours, the first 2 track days I did the abs made it unsettling for me when coming in hot on a long straight. I was tc level 3 I ran 1 here and it was less intrusive and I had a better feel.

My first trackday with this bike with stock tyres gave me some issue with hard braking, especially at the end of session when tyres was very hot. ABS felt very intrusive. Even with pressure adjustment
I ran TC 6.
The second one, I put some slick tyres and ran TC4. No more ABS issue, or very very slightly. I think the better the grip is, the later the ABS steps in. But I don’t know if the level of "ABS" depends of the level of the TC.

I did not have any ABS issues running the bike at setting TC4. You should note that Tamworth has very strict noise levels (92db at 50 feet) which they measure & enforce. Even with the baffle in my Akra; I was restricted to 11,000RPM; which may have impacted potential issues.
The only issues I faced were the front fork seals blew out and I had to end my day 2 early; as well as needing a head set bearings.
As noted in another thread, this was a new to me used bike, and I have put a lot of $$ & time into it. The fork seals seemed ok at the time, and the bearings were only noticeable after riding it. All of this has now been fixed, and I am taking the bike to Whiskey Hill in Palmer, MA on August 22. My understanding is Palmer does not have the strict noise level enforcement, so plan on running it without the baffle and at a higher RPM as appropriate. And obviously there will be some street riding before then to further get comfortable with it.

Is there anyway for you to fit the stock can back on when at that track? Not very restrictive at all but does a great job bringing down the sound. I can’t imagine not being able to use the whole RPM range because of sound.

Bike had an aftermarket can on Black Widow headers when I bought it; and it was an ugly exhaust IMO (attached) - so no OEM muffler option nor interest.
Tamworth is a great track, but in order to get the permits & approvals, noise level restrictions were agreed to, so I can live with the restrictions

I go to all of those tracks. Palmer does have sound limits and I’ve seen some really loud bikes out there, like supermotos with full exhausts. I’ve been there 50 times and have not personally seen anyone get in trouble. I’ve heard stories thats all. Ive taken my 2017 1000 with full yosh and had no problems.

Good to know re Palmer. Will be there in August, no silencer in my Akra (will bring it though).

I usually ride with the Akra MotoGP (no dbkiller possible), with OEM Catalyzer, which produces 106dB(a) at 1 meter (6000rpm). Earplugs are advised for trip longer than 20minutes…
In France, it is a no go (102dB max on biggest track and 95dB for the other).
So need to put the OEM Bazooka (91 dB at 6000rpm).
