How a transmission works

Very good. Except you can extrapolate that most all our bikes has 6 speed gearboxes, same concept though.
AND that some bikes do have the shift lever on the right side. I've ridden some. Rare though.

Constant mesh transmissions- no clutch needed once you've taken off from a stop. Unload some pressure and shift away!
