naw i need 38s (i think lol ill double check)

raven that jet kit will work for my bike? how hard do u think it is to install em? and what else do i gotta do after i install em?

what did the prev owner do to it? i'm assuming a pipe but did he yank the airbox? odds are he threw on a new pipe and didnt rejet at all ! A jet kit goes in fairly easy if you work carefully, but expect to spend a fair amount of time fine tuning (main jet size jet needle position etc ) to get it right

um i guess the non-california would work, if all your other smog stuff is removed. dunno how that works in ca. not sure. and if you have cal carbs those are 36mm so the kit is actually for the non cali 38mm's unless prev owner upgraded carbs etc.
you need to figure out if you have a california model # or the rest of the world lol

tbryan - he put a yoshimura exhaust on it i think it was a slip on and not a full kit and theres no airbox its just 4 k&n filters

raven ill find out what carbs ive got in a lil bit and wat do u mean smog stuff? u have to smog a bike? wtf? lol ill take pics of my carbs and put em up cuz i dont have my tank or filters on right now im getting it all painted

from where you're starting it might be tough to straighten out. many street bikes do not work well with the airbox removed. the 1st and 2nd gear probems youre having are probably there in the higher gears too its just that the lower gears amplify low end jetting problems. you may end up getting it jetted ideallly but still end up with big dips in the power curve because of your pipe / airbox setup . someone like #1tuner may be able to shed light on a close jet/needle setup for what youre running

ehhhh this is gayyy now im hearing about the airbox being the problem and stuff GRR ahah but alrite lets put it this way... bike is slow.... bike needs to be fast... its a 750 that my friends say feel like a 600 u cant get it to wheel either but yeah i want to get it running faster

when u open the throttle from a stand still in first gear it goes to 5k fairly slow and then waits about half as eccond to 1 seccond at 5-6k and then it takes off its hardcore in first gear seccond is slighly better and third is way better 4th is pritty good aswell

so watcha guys think i shud do?

Raven is correct concerning the cali model bikes...we are the only bikes that needed to have that stuff on the bike to "pass" smog inspection (visual) at the dmv...other than that it's a worthless 10lbs of excess weight that we just rip out...i still have mine laying around somewhere.... Tbryan is also correct that if the airbox is removed without proper jetting it will not respond correctly...normally the carbs are pulled for 38's or bigger with the correct jetting to accomodate the k&n pods or filters to compensate the loss of the airbox.....Now depending on what you want to do with the bike and how long you plan on having her is your biggest decision as to how much money you wish to spend on her to get her running smoothly.......glenn

If the're Cali model 36's then I have a set of 1100 carbs that will do the trick w/Factory Ti jet kit already installed. If you feel like drivin down I'll install them & tune them for your app. It will "pull the front wheel" when I get done with it!

hey msthtd we need an airbox to pass visual?? and i will prolly keep the bike for a while maybe forever -) but i dont have too much money to spend right now maybe a quick fix for now and then later on a perminent fix lol

#1 tuner how much u want for em? how hard would it be to instlal and tune em myself?

There is currently no smog inspection necessary for motorcycle in CA. This may change in future, but not right now. I'll take $75.00 for them & I'll talk you through the install.

oh shit man ill prolly take it give me about 1 week i need to pay some bills i wont have to do n e mods right? unbolt stock ones and bolt these on? and then tune?

No, both Cali model 750 & all US model 1100's had 36mm carbs. We can adjust these carbs to fit your application! Wait now that I'm thinking about it the needles might need to be different. Check with Factory Tuning to see differences in needle if any. If nothing else tell me more about what's inside you're carbs if you take them apart. You can alway's bring them to me & I'll work them into shape!
