Looking to buy pants. I would like a pair of textile overpants for the commute to work/ quick rides and also a pair of leathers for longer hauls/track day. Both need to zip into my coat which is a leather A* (not sure of the model). I have been looking on Revzilla and MSS but not all the products get a lot of reviews.

These (Scorpion Deuce pants) won't zip to your jacket unless you sew in a zipper, which wouldn't cost hardly anything. Very durable quality and they flow air very well. I've got a pair I'm very happy with. If you wear as overpants, go 1 size up. I wear them by themselves though for summer pants on those 90+ degree days.

I read reviews for both of the above mentioned pants. Seems like the first pair got OK reviews, with shorter riders complaining the pants are too long. I have fairly short legs so that may not work. The Scorp. pants got pretty much all good reviews, and I like the style a bit better.

How important to safety is zipping your pants into your jacket?

I think buying leather pants is a higher priority than whether or not they zip to the jacket. If you don't want leather get some good quality, hopefully armored pants that fit well. I have some overpants that are just that and though they aren't leather, they're better than the slacks underneath. For me they're the best feasible option.

Link to said pants?? Also I wanted over pants because of conviniece, but I suppose I could just wear the tighter leather pants and then change once I got to work.

How do these ones look?

I wear these rev it gear pants. They're not over pants. I just bring pants to work and change there. These are a hybrid leather/textile pant and they're on sale too!!

They don't have my size :(

I think I am going to end up getting the AGV Sport Willow pants. There is a matching leather jacket and gloves that I could all buy someday to complete a track suit along with my A* MX-5 boots. I figure I will try this brand and compare to my A* stuff which I know is quality. Just trying to save some money if I can...

The AGV Sport Willow pants are OK, I own a pair of those as well. They fit with normal sizing. For the price, they're a pretty good pant. There are definitely much better pants out there but they will cost you more. The knee pucks that come with the pants are total junk, but they usually are and replacement pucks can be had from chickenhawk for super cheap and last forever.

Awesome because I ordered the willow pants last night. I figure yeah if I paid more I will get a bit more out of it, but I am in big need of leather bottoms and I cant afford $350 dollar A* stuff right now.
