Guys idk what to do next. Im bored with my power already. My bike is an 07 600 with only a filter and a slip on pipe. Im used to my mustang where there is numerous little things to do to make it faster. I have a +3 and-1 sprocket on the way but i know ill be bored soon. What should i do next thanks

How can you be bored with the power. The SS and SB are some of the quickest accelerating bikes/vehicles on the planet

full throttle acceleration in a straight line will do that. When he actually learns how to turn the bike he will understand where he has been going all along.

OP you should sign up for a track day, you will no longer be bored with your bike.

I came from a 03 600 that was a ton of fun to ride, sold it and 3 years later i got my L1 750, and its not what i thought it would be, yeah its fast, but the "fun" factor seems to have been lowered. I know they have the bike set up to keep the front on the ground and smooth out the power in the whole rpm range, instead of just up top, but myabe thats why i loved my 98 600 and my K3, it just seemed to have a strong hit, where as this is just seemless power, its way more then i need, and more then i can use at a track, which is why i didnt buy a 1000. Ive been riding since 02 and have rode high hp busa's and all the liter bikes back when i worked at a dealership from 03-06, but idk if im ready for a 1k bike at the track... anyways yeah i could say im a little "bored" of the bike, but i also am a little more carefull on this as i still owe alot, unlike my K3 which i had paid off from a friend in just a few months

other then a full exhuast, fuel controller, and filter, everything else is in the engine, which how much power you want depends on how deep your pockets are.. well to a certian point, your not getting 200hp out of that lol

600s are great for track days and twisty roads. But if you are after HP then you need a 1k gixxer or a hayabusa. You would be compromising handling for power.
Having said that a 600 will easily stick with 1k bikes in the twisties.

Go do a track day, trust me you wont be bored no more.

you should learn how to ride it properly. like, around a race track, for example. if you get bored with the power of a modern supersport, you are doing something horribly wrong...

:stupid

To the OP: Where are you shifting? Are you hitting the rev limiter (or just short of it) in EVERY gear? Are you getting good drive out of the corners?

There is SO much more to "going fast" than just laying on the tank and twisting the throttle. Your bike is capable of a lot more, you just gotta give it the opportunity to do so.

Power is relative to how it's being used. I would be bored with my bike if all I did was ride it fast in a straight line. Go ride a twisty canyon or do a track day and learn how your bike was meant to be ridden, and if you're still bored, find another hobby! :dunno

I agree with asshat^ (hey ToeJam, long time no talk:biggrin)

Get in on the cornering, and get the Rs up at the top, hit some nice twisty roads and use more of the tire than just the center inch. If your new to riding, and are bored already, something is wrong. And you can't compare a Mustang to a Sport Bike. Don't get me wrong, fast cars are fun, but fast bikes are priceless. Just respect it, and get some practice. If all else fails, give it to me, I won't be bored.:lol

Are you advocating trying to have sex with the bike? That could get a guy in trouble in most states! :nono

:lol

Hey Chris, it's Rob. Haven't been on forums much since kneedrag.com, but I pop in every now and then.
