So we know this shock fits. Im just wondering , do we have to use the linkage on the new shock or just bolt our linkage on our bikes to the new shock??

Compare the linkages.
The geometry differences will affect function, ride height, and ultimately affect steering rake.
If you do put it in, set your sag and all the shock adjustments to 'neutral' settings, ride the crap out of it and adjust accordingly.

take top an lower bolt off, remove old shock, slide new shock in, bolts back in, done
