Ok guys this is what I have figured out so far. It is not the starter solenoid and if i unplug the fuel pump relay it just keeps on humming. Now here are a couple things that really got me confused. I was using the wiring diagram from above and started to notice that there was some difference beween my bike and this diagram so I called local dealer and found out that they changed the wiring harness on the 2000 gsxr 600. The problem with that is that I can not find a updated wiring schematic. The dealer wont give me a copy of theirs obviously "Bring it in we will take a look at it". So if there is anybody out there that has a wiring schematic for a 2000 gsxr 600 that would be a great help. Any other ideas maybe :dunno
:wtf so then that means your fuel pump is getting direct power from somewhere? Did someone pass the fuel pump relay and hook the fuel pump directly to the battery or some other means of constant power? Sounds like someone would do that in a pinch if say they were riding and the relay went out :dunno but that's how you can tell if your fuel pump is bad, by giving it direct power.....if it doesn't prime up, then it's bad, if it does, then usually the relay is bad. So did someone do that and leave it hook up that way or cross some wires?

chocolate rain has all the manuals and diagrams in his sig - free downloads. Here ya go http://www.servicemanualsgsxr.com/600/Suzuki_GSX-R_600_97-2000.pdf

If the bike was fine before you took it apart then I am guessing you have something hooked up wrong because if the pump did not run continously before then why now? If the wiring was rigged before then you would have had the same problem before. From this schematic, and I am assuming that the difference "claimed by the dealer" will not affect the fuel pump relay to pump section; power must come from the relay. If you unplug the relay and problem still exists, then you have a wiring issue, not sure if there is a plug on the relay where the wires come in, but you can trace that yellow/red wire. It could be somehow contacting a hot wire. Get some isopropal alcahol and spray the fuck out of any dirty wires, it will not hurt electrical parts. I have fixed amplifiers, radios, and "YES" Helicopeter parts and wires with alcahol.:cheers

Yes the bike was tore apart and no plugs were taken apart until this happened. The hot feed going to the fuel pump is coming from a contact in the starter solenoid. Nothing is plugged in wrong because none of the plugs are the same they all have their own home. I am going to try to get a fuel pump relay and try that if that does not work then the only other thing is the cdi. I have checked all the other relays and switches and I did check and make sure the grounds were hooked up lol. Any other ideas?

make sure that the plugs all go into the right ones. i made the same assumption on my bike and found out 3 different plugs all fit each other and all 3 were in the the same general area. i didnt label them, but i remembered how the wire looked and they all found their correct home. i blieve it was the vacuum sensor (?), temp sensor, and something else

ok I checked all the plugs and they are plugged in correctly. I made some jumper leads and verified that relay next to the starter solenoid which i believe is the fuel pump relay is working properly. When power is applied the contact changes state and I verified it with my meter. The one thing that i have found that does not seem right to me is the kick stand switch when tested is reading open no matter whether the kick stand is up or down. I bypassed it by connecting the two wires together and that did not change anything. Any ideas?????

i dont know dude, I would trace back until the problem is found, if wire from solenoid to relay is good then something is causing the solenoid to constantly engage the relay and ultimately pump? Good Luck!!!:scratch

Ok no luck with that relay.:hammer I am going to lose my mind here before too long. Anybody out there in the mansfield ohio area that might be able to give me a hand with this. There are two shops other than the dealer and neither of them are known for there electrical troubleshooting abilities. Thanks
