That looks hella sketchy to me!

Does it really lay over that far or is the camera angle making it look like that?

Thanks for having a sense of humour!

Thanks man! I've been doing alot of work to it.....almost got it to what i want!

I left it at the stock settings, was just right as far as I was concerned for my riding style. Body weight will make a lot of difference, I'm in at 265. Spring on the 'busa shock is a monster, lighter rider will want to let the collars out a fair bit. Stock is set in the middle fo the threads. Damping... not sure. Didn't mess w/ it, seemed fine for my style as is.

I'm getting conflicting advice all over about this.
I don't know if they're different dimensions but I got a '99 'busa shock.
One guy I was speaking to assures me it won't fit and I'll have to use the shorter Busa knuckle, or it hits the back of the swingarm.

Sadly as far as settings go the shock came with the adjusters turned fully in on comp & rebound.
I was told it's fine just that the shop tested the adjusters were fully free.

Another line of attack on this might be the 07 750 shock I've read here it goes in easily.

Bullshit. Speaking from experience on this one, the 'Busa shock knuckle won't fit because of the geometry and the 1100 frame mount. I tried. And that was w/ the stock 1100 s/arm. No other spacers required, direct fit. Search for 'Busa shock swap' and you'll find my thread where I showed the installation.

Once I installed a 'Busa s/arm, I used 3" lowering links to get the bike back to a stock-ish ride height.

I had pods on when I bought the bike, so the airbox wasn't even in the equation.

Ive got a complete 09 Busa swinger, shock and everything in my 7/11.

The shock dont just fit straight in, you have to move battery, and i had to cut a bit of my airbox lid.

Waste of time that so i junked airbox and fitted individual filters and jetted up.
