Hey guys, I usually dont like posting things up b.c i used to have a r6 and i used to post things up on the r6 forums and they were jerks, but i need your help.

I just bought me a 05 gsxr 750 and i want to buy turbo for it. the thing is, my buddy is saying i need to fabricate the header, turbo outlet and the manifold. the thing is you can buy kits for the bike right? but why cant you just buy the parts seperate??

if i can buy these parts seperate and dont have to fabricate them plz help me find them.

Thanks guys!

i would probably hit up a local performance shop tell them what you want done and tell them you want a list of parts you will have to buy for it to work, and ignore the assholes. high performance "hot rodding" is new and scary to alot of sport bike riders that think a pipe and air filter is the pinnacle of sport bike power adders.

but in all seriousness why not nitrous? that way you don't always have to worry about the extra 50+ horses throwing you off the bike mid corner when the turbo spools up.

If you thought the r6 guys were jerks, and had hopes of people petting you in here, you're in for a rude awakening. Enjoy your stay!

Fuck nitrous - put it on my 1000 and wish i had of turbo'd - the bottle size doesn't last nearly long enough and then it's a pain to go get filled again.

haha well im going to get it turbo, not a lot of people have turbo and thats one reason why i want it. im going to build the kit myself so ill be saving a lot of money, but its a lot of work.

When you ask about putting a turbo on your bike what type of answers do you expect people to tell you on the street might I add? Its bad enough people are hitting stock tripple digits on the bike you just wanna get there faster. As if 3 seconds aren't enough for you.

Well, being a builder, and a fanatic for turbos, I'll toss you in some info.

Yes, there are kits. I believe Velocity Racing has one. There are others as well. They are bolt-on in the closest sense a turbo can be. You will still need to have the bike properly tuned, and I would recommend you have a professional do the work, simply because you don't seem to have the knowledge to do so. The work will be a lot cheaper than the replacement parts when you do something wrong.

If you intend on running twisties, don't turbo. It makes for terrible power delivery control, and makes it very easy to lose traction at the worst times.

If you really want that much power, sell the 750, buy a thou, and build the engine N/A, or run Nitrous. Nitrous is very easy to work with, and in most places is very easy to find for refills.

:facepalm

Your not the first guy to have these thoughts...

It's not in any way "easy" and your going to need a few motors to even get close to reliable.

:shifty Ask me how I know... :suicide

Fork over the money for a "kit" and be done with it for the most part.

It really is well worth the money.

Just because you see Turbos on ebay for $200 dosent mean you can make a "kit" yourself for $1100. :dissapointed

and i thought my 600 was fast enough.. my balls must be tiny i guess i'm a total puss
<< note the custom user title

i really wanna know, is it just the preverbial "my dick is bigger than yours", or have you just never cruised at 10000 rpms in first and just barely cracked the throttle open and let the front wheel float off the ground? have you EVER come out of a corner sideways? come out of a corner on the rear wheel? do you really think you have the skills necessary to control the kind of power that will make?

hell fuck the massive and almost useless power it'll make, you WILL get bored or dead PERIOD.

I can name a few bikes that on bone stock motor will lay down more power than any "reliable" low boost turbo on a tiny 750cc.

To the OP,
if you feel like wasting your time and $$$- put a turbo on that 750 and be done with it!
