They didnt have my latemodel powdercoated wheels in FRICKEN WHITE back in the day apparently..............LOLJust for grins, I'll throw out what Suzuki recommended back in the good old days. Clean with kerosene, coat with a thin film of heavy motor oil for protecting the links. Lube isn't needed.

I use Mineral Spirits for the first cleaning of rear wheel after lubing the chain, works great! Then I just use Simple Green for all the cleanings after that until I lube the chain again.Wd-40 removes chain lube nicely from wheels, swingarms ect...
