Hi I recently bought my new bike for this year. It has had all new panels, matte black. Now I'm gathering a few opinions on whether to paint the tank matte black (or vinyl wrap it), or whether to leave it as it is.

When I bought the bike I was definitely going to change it to black to match the rest of the bike. However once I got a few friends opinions they reckon it sets off the other red bits nicely.

Any opinions?

:p

Well I suppose its a lot cheaper to keep it as it is, Maybe remove the stripes, and add a black Suzuki decal... basically get some more black on it. Looks a bit odd just plain red!

Thanks for your opinions people!!!

I got my tank painted at a auto body for $100 with 4 layers of clear. I told them they can have the tank for as long as they need until they have a car they are painting gloss black. Most auto body places always have left over paint from jobs, so all they did was spray the car and then spray my tank at the same time.

That's a good price. In London that equates to something like ÂŁ70 so I would probably get it done at that price. I'll leave it until the weather gets better... We're snowed in!!!

As for the other pics... they'll be taken as soon as the snow clears!

its kinda cool actually. The colors trick your eye into thinking it is lower than it actually is... I'm in the process of painting my tank black.. (actually waiting for some bondo to dry as im typing)

I want the fairings but am doing this first...

I don't think you'll go wrong with whatever u end up doing.

(btw, where did u get your fairings?)

What kind of tank pad is that??, I kinda have the same issue i pulled all of my decals to have it all black but the tank decal is under the clear coat so you cant just pull it.. dose the pad cover it entirely?? the only way i cover mine is with this bra and i fuking hate it
