Okay, long story short, this dude sold his bike because he saw his friend fall and was scared to get back on. I bought his bike because it was just sitting in the garage not being used... but now, I'm feeling stupid because I think I could have gotten a better deal somewhere.
It is a 2005 Suzuki GSX-R 600. It was bought brand new by the guy... He sold it to me with 685 miles on the speedometer. I was thinking I basically was getting a brand new bike... BUT because it's an 05 I feel like I'm stuck with an old bike, with uber low miles... I paid $4800 cash. It's a fun little bike, it's my FIRST bike actually...
My mindset was that I was getting pretty much a brand new bike for $4800, but if it were stolen or crashed, I would only get KBB value for a 2005 because in actuality, it is NOT a brand new bike... it is almost 5 years old.
Somebody tell me if I screwed myself and should have bought a new bike or if I still did good and got a steal... I'm kicking myself in the ass for second guessing this decision...
