Did I get a good deal - Or screw myself?

Yeah, it was covered up in his garage... he used those bike stands for it... and he started it up and rode it around the neighborhood at least twice a month... He always loved the bike, but was too scared to get on a real road after his friend crashed... His wife came out to the garage one day while he was tinkering with it and told him that since she was pregnant, they needed the money and he wasn't ever gonna ride again, so sell it... so I jumped on it.

And yes, I have the title... as another poster said, I was just wondering IF I wrecked or IF it was stolen away from me, how would I fare...

As a new rider you couldn't tell the difference between a 99 and 2009 Gsxr600 if you were riding them blindfolded. But you don't want to ride blindfolded until you have at least a couple years experience.

I think you got a good deal....I'm just about to put up the wifes 04 600 for sale and I'll be asking a price very close to what you paid. Watch the classified section if your you're looking for a low mileage 04.

What you paid vs what is a good deal varies depending on where you live.

05's is by no means old, thats newer than 75% of the riding crowds machines and the year I graduated high school.

STOP USING THE WORD OLD GUYS, I LIKE BEING YOUNG THANK YOU.

That is a great deal and I hope I can catch a deal that good when I come back because I'm looking for a 05-06 1000. So trust me your bike is not old at all. I ride 04 now and I'm only trying to go up to the 05-06 and money isn't even a issue I could by a brandnew bike but for what. I can get a 06 that I love the scheme of and ride it like a stole it. Enoy it, make it your own, learn how it works, and abuse it(in a good way).
