ok so i just got learned on this molly thing with the full synthetic oils. im doing a clutch replacement tonight and now i dont know what oil to use... yeah ive searched this and yeah ive used many different oils but now im confused on this full synthetic thing. what should i use? i was just gonna go to cycle gear and pick up some castrol but now im thinking differently. i am stuck on what to get.. amsoil full synth 10w 40? rotella? of course its a wet clutch and im putting in barnett plates and springs tonight. im soaking the plates in plain jane 10w 40 right now. what should i do!??!??! :dunno

good, cause its all over this forum that synthetic will ruin your clutch and nobody metions that its car synthetic that will do it and not motorcycle oil.

everyone has their own brand they use for many different reasons all i can do is add my .02 and here it is....

I use Repsol full synthetic and do you wanna know why?...because i usually get a very colorful not so cool shirt that works great for cleaning up spilled oil when i pull the filter off.

I'm in the same place and mine lives on Rotella T 5w40. Check out the Shell Oil motorcycle forum and www.bobistheoilguy.com. Rotella is a proven oil and very popular. Even better you can see actual results from Blackstone labs and make your own call. Bottom line these "motorcycle specific" oils are ok but in most cases ridiculously overpriced for the exact same ingredients found in Heavy Duty Engine Oils (HDEO).

Don't take my word for it, look at the results from Blackstone labs. Rotella spanks more than a few "motorcycle specific" oils both in race and street bikes of all kinds. Totally safe for a wet clutch, I've run it for years and so have plenty of other folks on street and track.

yes i've heard about rotella they say is a good one , so between this 4 options
Rotella T 5w40
Amsoil Full Syn
Maxum4 Ultra 100% Synthetic 5w40 & 5w50 Ultra
MOTOREX Power Synt 4T Synthetic

wich one would you guys recomend ? i really dont mind paying more for a good oil

pd: my bike gets very hot 220 223.

ty guys

you are going to get a different answer with every post.
i recommend that you do some research on your own and see which oil stands out to you as the best or try them all and see which one works the best for you.
oil and tire choices are all dependent on each individuals riding habits and styles.
as for your bike hitting 220 223. that is within normal operating range for our bikes and is perfectly safe. good luck
