first off i weight 225lbs, my bike is a k8 600 with cat hack, m4 slip on, k&n filter, -1 front sprocket, and very rich tune.

my buddy weights 160lbs k6 600 bone stock, i mean bone ass stock.

we raced at the track tonight with me leaving him every time from the light and put around a bike to a bike and a half on him, then at about 1/8th mile he would be right with me and at the beam he would have about a bike on me.

WTF!!!!!! is the weight really make this big of a difference or is my tune worthless, the tuner just hooked his computer up to my stock ecu and just added fuel to it to make it safe until i can get on the dyno. it really didnt feel any faster just louder but the exhaust sound makes it seem faster i guess.

even on the way home we got messing around on the highway a little and he would give me the hit and i couldnt beat him, we would stay neck and neck until top of 2nd then he would start pulling.

some help would be wonderful, sorry for the long post.

yes the weight makes that big of a difference. And the tuner needs to put the ecu back stock. Nothig is unsafe about what you have done with the stock tune. Stock tune is rich anyway, just run stock tune with 93 pump gas.

If it is too rich then yes you will be slower.

well as for times, we both ran very consistantly in the
11.3/11.5 et range and our mph was almost the same every time with it between 120/122. but my 1/8th mile times where both 7.5 at 100mph and his where like 7.8 and 7.9 at 96 both runs.

all the tuning in the world ain't gonna tote your 225lbs faster than a guy of similar skill that weighs 160lbs. so by that rationale, yes your tune is worthless.
