quick release seat pins?

anyone know where i can find or order them?

The stock seat bolt hole is very easily stripped out, and rather than heli-coil it I would rather have the quick release pins, but just don't know where to get them.

This is for my 08, but i assume they are all the same.

bump! for wanting to know myself. i hope someone makes the pins. i have the sato quick release tank pins, so if i can get the pins for the seat then that would make it easy to lift the tank up and take the seat off

I'm thinking that since the stock bolts are recessed, you'd have to have a very oddly shaped clip.

Found them...lol Finally.

several people in our club have them and I have been looking in evey lowes for them, only to find out it's not from Lowes...lol Typical for my life.

They're called PIP pins. Try these guys.

P.S. McMaster-Carr has them too. See quick-release pins.

Ive seen pins like that in a few paintball markers. Maybe try a paintball supplier.

I used to sell them for Gen I Busa's on another site. They were stainless steel. I would buy them from MSC online. I would also sell the lanyards with them.
However, when the Gen II bike came out, they did not work anymore. And I know on my 06 750 gixx, they wont work. The pin would need 2 different size diameters on it.

Btw, I would use a 1/4" diam. pin and just drill out the threads on the seat bracket with a 1/4" bit. HTH's

pin does not need two different diameters, just have to drill out the seat bolt holes in the frame to accept the pin.
