Called corbin up ordered the seat and was told it would take three weeks ended up getting the seat in just under two weeks....i have read alot that people had a hard time installing but the install went really well. Just lean into the seat while reinstalling screws and you're good to go. The seat is firmer than stock but is very comfortable due to the way the seat is shaped. The seat lowers the ride height as well which is awesome because im short. first pic is stock seat with measured ride height, second is corbin seat with measured ride height, third is side by side comparison...hope this helps some of you guys! Enjoy the pics!

i just got my corbin about a week ago. i know some people complain that they are a little pricey but it is money well spent. when i 1st got my bike i took a 300 mile ride on it. i had to pull over and walk around a few times cause the stock seat was so uncomfortable. the corbin is a huge improvement on the ass-bone for me:burnout

had it, sold it. haven't tried sargent yet but so far IMO stocker is the best choice.:dunno

thanks for those pics. i never realised that they actually gave a lower seat height. sounds good to me - i like the feeling of a lower center of gravity and the lower seat would help with comfort up at the 'bars.

i'm doing a big trip in October, if i can find a Corbin seat for a good price i might just pick one up...

I had the suzuki cf gel seat... its very comfortable BUT my issue is that im short. Unfortunately as soon as I got on I could tell it is much wider then the stock seat. So there went that Idea for me.

I was pretty upset about it but returned mine and think im going to try out the corbin seat. :woot

hey atmosphere thanks for the great pics... someone told me corbin seats lower the seat height but make your stance wider and therefore it may be even harder to flatfoot than with a stock seat. what was your experience?

actually to me the seat feels lower and a little more narrow towards the tank but this could be because the way the seat is shapped you atucally sit in the bike more....whatever it is it made a world of difference as far as ride height! If you were to order and dont think that the seat is working out you can have the guys at corbin work on it to your liking...so far im satisfied!

:cheers

how does this compare to the suzuki gel seat?
I have the suzuki gel and like it much better than stock. It raised me up about an inch which I like. I tried a Corbin on the FZ1 and absolutely hated it. If you are set on a Corbin seat, go get a concrete block, round off the edges a bit and then spray paint Corbin on the side. It will save you about $295.

The main issue with the stock seat is that it is too soft, offers no support. The Corbin is much harder with a fiberglass seat pan and typically requires about 1000 miles if seat time to break in
