I was at my local dealership today and they took an k8 750 out of the crate and crashed it in the parking lot. The bike is all black and has alot of damage to the plastics but no frame damage. I was just there ordering parts when the salesman asked me if i wanted to buy a crashed Gixxer for $4500.00 ono(this is Canadian $). Anyways i`m going back to take a few pics of the bike and i`ll post them up as soon as I get back.. The salesman said he has no problem putting the bike back in the crate and shipping it, so if anyone is interested let me know.

Um ... I'll take it. Fucking right I'll take it. Where in Canada?

I would be on that like stink on shit.

Can you say "back up bike"?

Wow seriously, If i had the xtra $ right now i'd take that in a heartbeat!

Hell i could gather up that much in like a month, but there is no way that deal will still be around by then :(

I was gonna sell my Ninja but im thinking about keeping it as a backup race bike to the 750 next year.

I hate to get rid of it because i have about $18k invested in it. Thermosman built the suspension and the damn thing handles like a dream. Entry, mid-corner, exit...it is as stable and confident inspiring as anything i have ever ridden.

But i want to race the 750 :dunno

So i think i will mount some rain tires on the Ninja and use it as a rain race bike.

But then again, everything is for sale. :D

I just got pictures for that 750 and damn did they ever fuck that poor bike up, but would definitely make an awesome track day beast - I'm still undecided if I should use it as a backup to my current 750 or just sell the current 750 and rebuild this one. (assuming I end up buying it).

I say you keep the Ninja and get as much of the $18K out of it as you can. I have about $14K in my 600 and I'm hanging on to it for at least another 3 years.

Keep your current bike.

You already have it setup, have rode well on it and have confidence in it. Trust me, you will not get back anywhere near what you have in it.

If it were me, i would get the trashed 750, put some SS brake lines and SBS pads on it, get the stock suspension setup for my weight (or respring it), safety wire it, throw some bodywork on it and leave it at that.

Then you would have an excellent backup/rain race bike with less than $4,500 invested in it.

I will more than likely keep the Ninja as a rain race bike.

I found a similar deal I was looking at here in San Jose, 3500 USD for a new and mechanically perfect but rashed up (would just need new plastics) Daytona 675.
Dude you should have jumped on that...i would have. Seriously.

The 675's are fucking weapons on the track.

Is that still available? I'd take it over the 750 as a track bike without a doubt.

Im all over this bike, Shawn I PM's you back, just waiting on conformation of NO SALVAGE TITLE and this shit is mine like White on Rice. This be a track bike for sure or I might just fix it and flip it. Anyway I am awaiting this small detail and then I will make the necessary arrangments!
