SRAD Fairing question

Hi everyone,

So i have just bought a 98 SRAD, well its in part but most stuff is there other than any fairing, head lights, dials.

So my question is, Has anyone ever attempted putting a K5 / K6 faring on a 98 SRAD ?

The only reason i ask is that a good friend of mine has a Import K5 fairing set just sat in his garage that i could have, and since i dont want to spend too much money on the fairing as its my first bike it would be ideal to get this set fitted.

I guess it would take a bit of fabricating but thats not to much of a problem, i know a few metal workers etc to make fairing frames up.

Yes

It will take some fabrication to make it work but it has been done

is that white GSXR yours if so how do you do the tail end that way? I would love to do that to my bike

hi ya the white SRAD is mine . and it did take a bit of fitting but it is possible. i started of with a length of lightweight steel and this is what i ended up with ..

hmmm....that tail piece u made BigBadWalster kinda looks like and Honda F4i tail....i know yours is fabed from scratch....but if i get an F4i subframe might be able to cut some steps out...may not be as light as yours though

This is scratch built, i have never seen a honda thingy . I started getting the tail piece in the position that i wanted then with the mount holes on the frame bolted a piece on to that then joined them up . sort of dont forget to wedge a battery in there aswell .. i'm making an undertray to cover it all up at the moment and i will get pics up when its done . any questions i would be happy to help

looks good man...this guy on tlplanet made tail raisers..they fit between the bottom sub frame bolt holes and sub frame...gives the GP style look with out the new sub frame..but i like what u did better....props bro....

Ok thanks for all the help.

Ill start a post soon with how the mod goes, so far i have a SRAD 600 98 frame, that i have just got back from the powder coating company, bought a K6 subframe cheap, so the next part is to mate the 2.

Ill get some photos up as i go along. will be a interesting project.

I like the blue SRAD with the updated fairings. Is there a writeup on that one somewhere here. And yes I'm using the search function.
