Long story short... Had my first race in 16 years. Took the 89 7/11 out to Jennings and got a 1st place finish in Vintage V6HW (pre 90). Also got a 5th in V7HW (pre 96). Had a blast, bike ran great, and brought it home in one piece... great weekend with temps in the high 70s. Thanks to everyone on this site for all the knowledge and advice over the years. :cheers

Glad to see you put the old bike in a race. When does the new one come out? We need some pics. Us boys up north here are still waiting for the snow to melt. What bikes are you up against in V7?

I dont have any pics... the photog was there, and hopefully they have some up by Thursday. The 06 750 is still waiting for $$$ to get the suspension done. In V7 there are Duc 916s, and a bunch of Honda F2/F3 bikes out there with $3K motors that are tough to beat (ex camel, commenwealth, and Erion bikes), along with 900RRs, and FZR 750s with 1000 motors in them. The damn F2/F3s were the only ones in front of me at Jennings, as it is a tight 600 track. We had a guy drive 16 hours from Chicago just to ride and hang out. I feel for ya Northerners, hopefully it will warm up for you soon... Next race at Jennings is at the end of April... come on down!!

Hey Mario... you know, back in the day when the F2 came out, it really sucked to be on the track... they would race their 600 race and bump up to our 750 class, and they were neck and neck with the GSXR 750s down the straights... I hated them then, and I still hate them now... :hammerThat's awsome Darrinunk
I didn't even think that the f2,f3 where still running hard after all this years. I would think your 7/11 could eat them all day.

You are RIGHT, and I think you are the first to ever get the X meaning ex part... everyone else thinks its just Racer with an X before and after... good on ya mate... I'll keep trying to make Suzuki proud!!! :cheers
I remember going to Road America the first year the F2 came out. They were running awaay with everthing in the 600 and 750 supersport classes. I went home and put my money down on a brand new red and white one from my local dealership.
They ended up yanking me around so I told them to give my money back or get me a bike....Long story short after a small legal battle with them I took my money and bought my 86 gixxer 750 from a friend of a friend.
I'd still like to get an F2...fulfill the dream that never was....
