i called a bunch of dealership around the US... the agree the price is the price and a deposit on a certain price regardless is the price.

Getting a lawyer will only cost more in the long run, not to mention your bike might sit until it is resolved in mediation or in court. If not you will still pay the extra $500 until it does get resolved. By the time you add lawyer fees, court fees and your time you would be better off just paying the $500. I would get them to throw some gear or aftermarket parts in though.

The last 3 bikes that I have put a deposit on, the price was only good for that month but then again you had to pay for the bike at the end of the month or finance the rest. The only time that didn't apply was if they didn't have the bike in stock yet however the price was dependent upon the current price of when it was made available to the dealership.

I would just walk into the dealership and have them refund your money in person, then walk out the door. With the way our economy is they could do you a deal,if not they lose a sale and your money stays in pocket. Always have felt that business is better done face to face than over the internet and or phone.

I agree with sales down they should be pushng these bikes harder.. I would play games with them like there playing with you.. Chances are if they see you walking a way they will do what they can to keep the sale.. Otherwise fuck them and go elsewhere. To me its principal now I would buy it from another delaership on just the fact that they fucked you over... So in my mind they dont deserve your hard earned dollar..

That would be enough for me to go ahead and buy it from them. They are in a business to make money, they have families to feed, bills to pay, and so on just like you. The price they offered it to you for initially was a hell of a deal and with suzuki going up in price, now they would be paying you 200 bucks to take the bike off the floor basically.

If they offered you your deposit back they are being up front, they just have to make some cash to keep the doors open just like everyone else.

All this lawyer screaming BS is half of what is wrong with America, you don't need to sue for everything on the planet, sit down, think about it logically, and do what feels right to you. Either pay the extra 500 which is still a steal or get your deposit back, either way you make out fine. :cheers

just spoke to suzuki corp and they said they are not involved with the $$...and to take it up with the dealership...
Suzuki is directly involved. They sent out a memo this week telling all the dealers that the price is going to be going up on all bikes deliverd after the 26th.

Tell your dealer if they dont honor the original price you will take your $$ elsewhere.

Their is probably something in the contract stating if their price from Suzuki goes up that they can cancel or raise the price. Leaving the option to accept the revised contract up to you. Just pay the money if you want the bike..

If you have a signed sales agreement,(deposit or no deposit ) it is legally binding and can NOT be changed..........you can hold them to it.........unless they stamped ' subject to price increase'. Be tuff with them and threaten them with a lawyer, they'll back down.......trust me, I know the game and they know it too

1.) True, everyone has to eat.
2.) the price is OUTRAGEOUS from suzuki...13K for a new gsxr..WTF
3.) i beat them to the increase and its legally mine at 10,699.00

However, being mature about this since they are not giving me much options,

what some benefits i could ask for if i pay the 500 more. what do you guys think about below?
1.) Pay extra and fiance the bike at 0%...they get the money they screwed up on and i get to make payments...i can even make semi large payments..
2.) Pay extra and ask them if they can get aftermarket exhaust at cost..then again who knows what dealerships could actual get? do all suzuki dealerships get yoshi pipes cheaper?
3.) I dont really want free oil changes as its an hour drive just to get to this place
4.) cost on two sets of tires?
5.) Suzuki stuff...like the gell seat? or something

what else...?

I see you like in Tulsa, OK. So you must be referring to the Green Country Honda/Suzuki Dealership. If you are then feel free to get your family layer involved and get the bike at the best price you can.

As for warranty work take the bike to the Bartlesville dealership.

nah, not a dealer in Tulsa...the dealers here in tulsa wanted 12,400 for a 2007 gsxr 1000 in november of 2008. I asked them what they could do since i paid 9,899.00 for my 2007 in march 2007(first blue/white at dealer)

i dont care to get the lawyer involved...i want to find a medium...but what is it? the economy blows and no one in thier right mind wants to just hand over $500 bucks, at min wage thats over a weeks worth pay.

Sounds like the same thing when buying a car. I have a deposit on a Cadillac CTSV for me wife. At the time we agreed to buy the car for sticker plus tax, tag and county/state disposal fees. At the time, sticker was thought to be $55k. Were up to $57+ and no car yet. If the sticker price changes, and the cost of the car to the dealer changes, my cost changes. Bottom line is that the dealer does not have the vehicle yet and does not know what they will be paying for it. I can back out for any reason once I see the car.

If the dealer doesn't know how much they are paying for something than how can they set a price for you? How do they know they aren't going to lose money on it. It's not right to quote you a price and then say, "oh, sorry, it's gonna be more now." They know the general price range it will be in, so why not just accept a deposit that is refundable, then quote a price upon delivery of the vehicle and give you the option of purchasing or refunding your deposit? Would that be so hard?
